Default what about the mission?

" . . . TrekEarth members strive to provide engaging photographs and useful critiques for each other and the entire internet community."

Kev, if anyone can pull this off, it would be you. -others are welcome also!-
It's about time we start the last phase of TE, the final frontier.
So . . . the question;
that one critique that is useful for the entire internet community, what's it like?

It cant take more then 5 minutes to identify some members who gets 100 to 200 points for everything they post. WHY this is of importance to them well ask them if you are interested.
But dont ever believe that there is an automatic link between points and quality. And as important: Avoid "educating" other members who may be here for different motivations than your own.

Still posting and critiquing do belong if you have some interest in interacting unfortunately the point system is there and in spite of several requests over 4 years to the former owner to get rid of the system, its still there. Just ignore it or turn the points off no need to start over again this pointless discussion.

..and wonder over wonders - sometimes the points DO work as a quality indicator. I.E:

I'm now a little more then one year here on TE. What I had learned - don't look to the points, but read the critiques carefully where you find many interesting hints.

Read the hints like:
... I love the contrast between the bird and mountain ...
... although I would have avoided that chair on the right ...
... The composition is excellent with the children ...
Read these remarks well - what you had done well and remarks what you could do better next time. You will learn a lot in this forum.

have fun on TE
Achim

Ignore the standard phrases.

Willem, there is also another way to know if you have "common points" with a member of TE... Go on his account, and watch the "written critiques"... Hasta la vista! alain

Companions, a post about points making less than hundred seventy five answers is a failure ....
