An igloo-like structure constructed as part of a training camp is slowly being blown away by the fierce Antarctic winds. Within a few weeks/months there will be no sign of it left behind.
The large mountain on the horizon is Mt. Erebus about 20 miles away and rising to almost 4 km in height!

Hi Kausthub,
another great impression... I like the thought of this small trace of human presence, contrasting the power of nature..
Cheers christian

Very well presented snow feature with sharp details of such lovely ice structure.

I like this pov and composition with blue sky.

Well done. TFS

Hi Kausthub,
like a lost spaceship on a far away planet... I´m amazed by the size of the mountain in the background, looks like an unspectecular hill :)
Beautiful photo from a place I will definitely never see!
Regards, Johannes

Hi Kastubh!
After beeing in South East Asia and having seen mostly bamboo huts this looks very strange and very cold to me.
A good shot with nice soft blue tones and wonderful light. The composition is good too with the long horizontal shadow.
Regards,Leo

Cyril

Hello again,
Another great shot from Antartica. Thank you so much to make us discover this part of the world.
I like the colours, and especially the light inside the igloo.

Hi Kausthub,
Good well-balanced composition, beautiful shot but little more sharpness and saturation would have done magic. But I need to agree that I’ve no idea on the atmospheres and light conditions over there :-)

Amazing shot, Kaustubh... very unique with that mountain, of which I would never have dreamt it was so high. THe colours, the composition are both great, the scenery...well, reminds me of my country of residence, haha! You are Indian, -- how did you possibly manage being in Antarctica? Am so curious.
Take care,
sasa

Beautiful image, blue tones and white snow are wonderful, I find also interesting this view with the far mountain and this igloo-like, well done, compliments.
Ciao
