| This is the Georgian Government Building in Tbilisi. So peaceful, just a few weeks ago, when I visited the lovely country of Georgia. But since long the border to Russia was closed (by Russia) and no connections between the countries. Why not let Georgia export their delicious apricots and peaches to Moscow? And now, war since more than a week. Georgia is such a special country, let it live in peace! And help them instead of destroying. They need better roads, for instance! |

Hello Monica,
it's a good photo, and the composition is good, too. It just needs a bit of tilt to the right and perhaps some cropping to emphasize the beauty of the building. I've made a Workshop photo, if you don't mind. Have a look :)
best regards,
Elena
PS. I agree with what you said in the note. I haven't been to Georgia (and Tbilisi) but my parents have been there many times and say it's a beautiful country and city. We have friends living in Tbilisi. War is an awful thing, but it's a matter of politics, not a matter of ordinary people's relationships!
Hello, Monica,
I am russian, but I love Georgia too! I have so many georgian friends. Very good people. But I cannot anwer for Kremlin and our politics.
Best wishes from West Ural,
Serghei
Hello,
Beautiful, and exotic government building...but we know that today there the Georgian government leaders are having heartache for the nation's future.
I saw the news of the war, on a Japanese Newspaper of August 9. Its front page news were "63rd atomic-bomb anniversary of Nagasaki" ,"opening of olympic games" and "the war in Georgia". What a bitterness!
Hi Monica!
It`s not the best exposure but a good post for TE these days to remind us to this stupid war.I hoe the people inside this buildings and in the Krewmlin too will have good decisions the next days.......
My heart is with the civilians!
Regards,Leo
