Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 meters. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers.
This photo was taken from Mount Kita, which is the second tallest mountain in Japan. Level, curves and contrast were adjusted and layer masks were used to superpose several layers with different brightness. |

Hello Wen,
Welcome to TrekEarth.
Your POV is excellent evoking a sense of space and distance. Silhouettes of the mountain ranges with Mount Fugi in the clouds in the background make a nice composition.
Warm wishes,
Betty
Nice, these different shades of grey. The create a sense of depth. I like it a lot.

Wen: I like the layers, nicely scalloped, that you've presented here - a great experiment in grayscale. best, c
What a great shot Wen,
I like it a lot. B+W brought the darkness and mysterious atmosphere. It would look nice tooif taken with a regular 35mm film let's say Ilford 400 or even 1600. The grain could build up even more dramatic view.
Great one,
Best regards,
Michal

Great shot. Nice B&W composition of Mt. Fuji.
It's been a while since I've seen a B&W rendition of Mt. Fuji.
