This festival (Fukagawa shrimes festival)is held each three years.
This year in total 55 portable shrines participated.
Basically portable shrine is held by men but some ones by ladies. The most characteristic points of this festival is that audiences along the street splash water very fiercely to the shrines and participants. Someone splash by bucket, sometimes by water pump. This is very brave and unique festivals but it is very difficult to take photo, as camera and lens can be wet--. |
