[Note Guidelines] 艺术家笔记
You are standing just a few metres from the edge of a rockface. And the green in the background is about 3000m below you.

This slope you are standing on is the granite plateau of the Summit Plateau. Altitude is between 4000 to 4095.2m above sea level.

The green you see in the background is the highland pastures of Mesilau. There is a dairy farm, a golf course and a resort somewhere down below. It is also the vegetable garden of Sabah.

Tip:
1. When it's cold, digital camera has lesser noise or grain in the image it captures. The high altitude or cold temperature, cools off the CCD/CMOS's photosensors , limiting grain/noise. Noise/grain is produced from heat of photosensors.
2. While noise/grain is lessened in high altitude or cold climate, so is battery life. Expect 40 - 50% decrease in power retention. Carry a spare battery and wrap it up in cotton clothing, and keep close to your body.

I can feel the sens of vertigo in this photo. The extra sharp FG and the blurred-focus BG create a very special composition, which I like very much. I also like the roads that look like veins on the bacjground hill. Very well done.

The variance between sharp and colourfull foreground and hazed out background is spectacular.

Hi Rabani! Really a great picture and wonderful composition. I like the contrast between the rockface foreground and the green background 3000m below. Good note also and thanks for the tips!

Superb landscape, Rabani. I would like to see all of it in sharp focus. A higher shutter speed & a higher aperture (eg f11 -> f22) with a tripod, or resting the camera on a rock or tree for stability, would have achieved a better result. But what is in focus in the foreground is superb. Lots of color, texture, tones & patterns. Well done!

That's an interesting half-and-half composition with contrasts on every level: grey/brown vs blue/green colors, sharp vs soft, vertical vs horizontal lines. I think your composition is very effective and full of good ideas. I also get a very good feeling of the altitude here. And I find pictures without sky always very interesting, but also more challenching for the photographer.

What a great landscape picture here, Rabani, the for ground perfectly sharp, the road on the background give excellent depth and perspective, the different colour tints are wonderful. Good job.

Dear Rabani I like your shots of people and their daily life they are very colorful, alive and original but I found your shots of nature so classic I think its good contrast.

Fascinating picture. I have climbed here and this image brings back some wonderful memories. It's amazing how this huge granite mountain protrudes above the lush fields and forests below. Your picture demonstrates this well. Good note too.
