A dwelling place near remote AK Monastery, in Mongolia. This place, & the friendly people inside, were our next door neighbours overnight.

"The Amarbayasgalant Khiid Monastery or "monastery of tranquil felicity", once one of the three largest Buddhist centres in Mongolia is located near the Selenge River in the Iven Valley, at the foot of Mount Büren-Khaan."

Hello Chris! Original house. Very interesting colors. Good perspective. Very good take. Well done!

Hi Chris,
This one speaks to me because I've been very busy lately looking for a new home, now that I have found it I can feel relaxed I have avoided the one you show here, although i could possibly use that huuuuge satellite dish... what I envy is that there does not seem to be many neighbours around... nice representative image.
Have a nice day JY

Hello Chris,
An interesting house whose inhabitants seem to be avid TV watchers. I don't think I have seen a satellite dish quite as big as that before! Good perspective taking advantage of the steps leading the eyes to the open door.

Hi, my friend!
This time Mongolia. I never been in Mongolia. Very oryginal and simply architecture. Satelite! Wow!

Bonjour, cher Chris,
L'on dirait presque une maison sortie d'un dessin animé ! ce qui est curieux c'est la présence de cette parabole géante (sauf erreur) !
Une image qui a parfaitement sa place sur le site. Très bonne présentation.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hi Chris.

Of this remote places for me I really lovely the colours of the houses...they're so different than the ones we have here!!!!

Rgs, OScar

It could look a very humble home but it is certainly the best thing they can have. In such remote area I do not think they need to shut the door as we are obliged to do in Australia.
The TV dish s an important part of life and one can assume they have a power generator to make it work.
Thanks for the nice photo.
Antonio

PS. I also have a satellite dish in my back yard for the European TV programs from Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.

Hi Chris,
Suggestive shot from this home with graphic details. The composition and the colours are splendid, an excellent shot,
Have a nice day
George

Interesting subject that you're capture the character of Mongolian dwelling and many detail to explore,Well sharpness with good control of light too.Good work,TFS.

Hi Chris,
Funny picture. The house looks old and on the point of breaking down any moment, but the dish outside for communication with the rest of the world is there...nice, i like such things on the outskirts of our planet.
Regards, Henk

Hello Chris! Original house and place. It is the simplicity or the sweetness that I like here! I believe that if it were absent the technology I would say that it is a palace of old very years.
Georgios

Cute and a bit funny, why not ? The owner is maybe happy with the little comfort, plus the huge satellite dish in the garden shows that he has something to watch at night... I like it a lot, with the prayer flag at the back !
Best,
Cath.

Hi Chris,
the contrast between this simple house and the huge satellite dish is almost overwhelming. This kind of cupboard on the left side of the house - is that a loo?
Thanks for sharing this great impression!
Warm regards
Harriet

Hi Chris!

Beautiful place, it seem like it's in the "middle of nowhere" and it probably is! Impressed by the huge sattelite plate! Simple but effective composition, wonderful colours! Congratulations!

Hello Kris,

Very original image, this small house with the excellent colours give a nice composition.
The dish aerial is almost the half of the house, this far of the inhabited world.
Sharpness and clarity are superb.
Very well doen, TFS.

Best reagrds,
John.

I am surprised to see a satellite dish! A very interesting picture showing us abit of life in this place. They appear very poor, and in my experience poor people are usually very friendly and generous. TFS

Nice shot, i like the contrast of the old house and the satellite receiver. the tight framing works well.

Hi Chris, It is a good story and fine clear photo. Interesting to hear of the friendly people as is sometimes the case when folk aren't too tied up in the possession of physical assets. Good to see the link to the outside world in the form of satellite dish!. Looks like a beach house in my younger years in NZ, far different to the ones of today. TFS. Murray.

Interesting piece of work Chris. Surely a way to display a most special "villa" in this part of the world. Seems like TV is an essential thing there based on the huge antenne placed in the middle of the garden.

Hi Chris!
I don't think that this kind of house was made by very good carpenters, but people living in this house are probably very happy to have own place to live. Thanks for sharing
best regards
