[Note Guidelines] 艺术家笔记
This man i met on my short trip to the mountains.
He told me of his youth, of when he was a soldier, and had to help comunists with the collectivisation. Of his dissaproval to the methods used by the comunists, of the time they had to take people that oposed comunist collectivisation to jail, regardless of age and gender..
He is now a sheppard, he has sheep and some pigs.
While i was drinking some milk from his sheep, he told me of his dissaproval on the Iraqi war, but forgived Bush, as he said: ' He must have been driven by the september 11th incidents !! '
What i liked most about him, was his joy of life, his thirst for sharing our most precious treasure--memories.
His hat he always wore outdoors, and it was a gift from his son, so i had to give it a large part of the frame.
Hope you like it.
P.S.: i intitled it so, as he was nostalgic(plus the walls).

Colour and lighting here is wonderful; you've captured his brooding expression well. I like the inclusion of the wall hangings which do drop a hint about his environment.

The hat-- I wasn't sure about it at first and it still doesn't completely agree with me. It is prominent in the frame, we can recognise it as a hat but without your note it seems a little disjointed from the man.

What do You think about crop bottom?

Nice capture, colors.
I would leave this photo without cropping; this way the hat seems to be up in the air, which makes it be more than just a hat. If I took the photo, maybe I would have liked to have more of the man's body and less than half of the hat. Next time watch/capture these people's hands, they also can tell you so much about life.(sper ca este OK ca am scris pe engleza)

WOW nice contrast and sharpening. Wery deep photo!

I think it would have been better to shoot this shot with the man wering the hat or the hat in focus... thanx matt

I like very much the atmosphere and the face. About the hat - I would move little bit to the right when taking this photo. It takes much of attention and I cannot recognize if the man is keeping something in hand, working with something... or just thinking.
