A religious couple seeking solace by the main lake of the Park Hayarkon.

Park Hayarkon is kind of the "Central Park" of Tel Aviv. It is, along with the beach, the major urban retreat inside the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, and a great place to hang out.

The park includes various sports facilities, botanical gardens, an aviary, a waterpark, two outdoor concert venues, a few artificial lakes, and the last leg of the Yarkon River.

The park is a great place for cycling, with a network of many small trails, some paved and some aren't, this is probably the best way to explore the park.

Sailing can be a nice way to explore the river and the lakes.

Hello Daniel,
A nice, restful view with fine colours. It certainly looks like a better place for exercising than that road along the airport you showed some time ago. I didn't know about this park. I have only been very briefly to Tel Aviv, actually going on a sightseeing tour with the mayor (Ronnie Milo I think it was at that time) as the guide. I was in Israel and the Palestinian territories to cover a visit by the Swedish foreign minister, which also gave me the opportunity to interview Shimon Peres.
