| 介绍: | This is Sothy, a Cambodian national, and presently is a doctoral student at Texas Tech University, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. I started to take picture back in 2005 with my pocket Olympus camera. Since then I became interested in taking pictures. In Aug. 2006, I came across TE when I searched for pictures from Cambodia. Then, I decided to sign up so that I can put my pictures in. After a few months looking at and giving critiques to TE's pictures, I became even more inspired. In December 2006, a few months after joining TE, I bought Canon DSLR, 350D and used it with the kit lens. Then, my knowledge about using lenses and taking pictures improved greatly since then, thanks to TE members who gave me great advice. In March 2006, 2 of my photographs won the first and second place awards from Texas Tech University where I am attending now. And one of my photographs appeared on the coverpage of the university's Undergrad and Grad Catalog for its 2007-2008 publicaiton. Several of my other photographs also appeared in the university's Law School catalog (2007-08 publication). Here in Lubbock, there are 2 TE members, me and Mel Mcree. Sometimes, we go out taking pictures here in our city together. Right now I am also doing some family pictures for people in my city. Some of them can be found here: Family Photos.
