These photos show us people of a kind found in streets of every major city during the tourism season. Some such musicians are amazingly clever, others seem to be playing more for their own amusement, but they nearly always tempt me to stop for a brief photo session. In Stockholm they are probably most often found in the city center or Gamla Stan, where all tourists come, less often on Södermalm.
The collage of the main post indicates the versatility of that musician, while the young girl with the ponytail immediately gets my full sympathy, whether she was good or not (but I think she was).
Best regards,

A strange but fascinating room, slightly eerie. You had a good source of light and captured some quite pleasant colours on the walls and pillars. The sharpness is also good.

You may have had a hard choice among these photos. It's difficult for an outsider to judge if the level of the water in this pond is very low. There are nice colours on the surface, but are they harmful algae? The dead tree is nicely placed in the foreground. But I must admit that I would have chosen one of the WS, which both add living "creatures" (including people) to the views.
Best wishes,
Gert |

I have a photo from Utrecht called 'Lazing on a Sunny Afternoon', courtesy of The Kinks. Is there something special with the Dutch? ;-)
This is very nice. What else is there really to say? Well spotted, and fortunately for you with fine details.

A beautiful photo of a stunning scenery. My favourite detail is the winding narrow road, but the village in the valley is also pretty and the green surroundings look wild and impressive.

It is surprising to learn that this model goes back to soon after WW2, so it must really have been "well ahead of its era". It's an interesting aircraft well deserving a place at the museum.

The water is obviously at a low level now, considering the stones we see in the foreground. But at a normal level the tavern must be very close to the water. If the level rises more than normal the building could be flooded. This photo is interesting for several reasons and very neatly taken.

These fireworks were really professionally planned and executed. The lower explosions look very soft and the upper ones very sharp. ;-) The silhouettes of people create an atmosphere of excitement.

They may be simple domes, comparatively, but still show us beautiful details of a fine craftsmanship. You show this with good exposure an sharpness. Regarding the WS: In the 1970's I had an apartment where I could easily transform my bedroom into a darkroom. It was great fun and I learned a lot about photography there.

Hälsningar,

This is a very attractive building and it seems to be in good condition. The sky looks a bit cloudy but there was a pleasantly soft light and the colours turned out well. Thank you for answering my question, so here's another one: What about the ground floor windows? Anyone could smash the glass and just step inside. Would the Barton police be there in just a few minutes? ;-)
Both WS are useful for describing that this seems much larger than it appears at first sight.
Kind regards,
Gert |

B&W makes me feel brought back to Central Africa or maybe New Guinea decades ago. But looking closely at the fantastic costume it is probably much more elegant and expensive than in such parts of the world. Also without colours this is another very good portrait.

I am no expert on synagogues, so I wouldn't know if this differs much from most others, but it's a fine building. It was a good idea to show it from both sides, which gives us a better general idea of its design.

In spite of the human presence in WS #2 I totally agree with your choice of main photo. It's a fantastic view of the small town where I especially enjoy watching the layout of the narrow streets. It's almost like a Google view, except that I can't go any closer. The wider view of vineyards is also very nice and the colours and clarity are excellent. Both WS are also nicely composed.

This is certainly not the technically best photo you have posted here, but it catches the dramatic experience quite well. It actually makes me think of the boys in Thailand who were stuck inside a cave when the tunnels were flooded. But you managed this without too much trouble.

Bojnord is a name I remember from my journeys in the area, but of course I don't remember this view. But the brown hills in the foreground make a striking contrast with the grey/blue area further back and with the cloudy sky. Some clouds catch a bit of sunlight, which looks nice. The towers are fine eye-catchers that break the monotony of the empty scenery.
Best regards,
Gert |
