Well getting up at obscene and unearthly hours should be a piece of a cake for you given the young chap in your household!
I'm liking the reflections and this image goes to show that the best light is indeed at the beginning or end of the day (as your sunset shot illustrates). Maybe I would have cropped the shadow of yourself plus tripod out in the lower left but I see why you maybe left it in since it may unbalance the composition slightly.

What, you don't want to see my silhouette in every shot?!?!?
I debated it and messed around with it, but I liked the ratio of the shot, and cropping that area while maintaining it would have meant losing either the ladder at bottom, which I really wanted to keep, or the cloud trail hitting the corner at top, which was a main compositional element for me. So... you're stuck with it! Thanks for the comment and critique. Andrew
