Hello Sasha,
I do not like to go by car in the night. But maybe the traffic is smaller. Is the visa needed to go to Mount Athos? I have read that the women and also female animals are not allowed there :(.

Dear Malgo
Yes, women are not allowed to enter Holy Mountain. A visa is required but easy to obtain if you are announced and blessed to enter this holy place. There is a legend that in the Holy Mountain besides the Virgin Mary, the only female foot that walked there was the Jelena woman of the Serbian Emperor Dušan the Mighty, which made him the only Serbian king who did not become a saint.
