Times on Photos' Thread

While upload a photo at local time 10am here, photo is showing TE time 18:00, but today I post a reply on a critique at local time 11am here, TE times showing on my message reply is 03:00, actually which is the correct timing?

At the bottom of the forum page it says all times are GMT. Before the new forum, times used to be Pacific time in the US. It could be that all features are not set at the same time yet. I think this is one of the fall backs of this new forum which is, from a technical point of view, a whole new piece of software which has been added to the existing TE. The new forum is "intelligent" enough to take time zones into account and display the local time for each user, whereas TE remains unchanged and displays posting time using US Pacific time... which is where the servers are installed.

Check your profile to ensure you have the correct country set. That may be affecting the time stamp.

It didn't, for me. I changed from Portugal (GMT) to Cape Verde (GMT - 1) and the time shown here (in the forum) is the same. As Kath said, "At the bottom of the forum page it says all times are GMT".
At the TE pages (other than forum) the time is yet the US Pacific Standard Time (PST), i.e. GMT - 8.

Duh!!! That explains why the time is correct for me then I'm in the UK

Hi all friends as above thanks yours reply, I set my country as Malaysia since the first day I register here till now, but the times showing on my photo and my thread still different.

That' is normal
Time in TE pictures is still Californian hour
The time Forum is independent you are allowed to set your local hour.

I'm sorry, Didi, but I can not set a local hour. As it is written down in each page of the forum:

All times are GMT +0. The time now is ...

(GMT +1:00 hour) Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris

It's similar to my computer time.

This is only visible in the forum not in TE pictures pages
