Hello Mariusz,
I disagree with the title. This is much better than the average postcard, mainly because you are no longer disturbed from having some people in your photos. Maybe a few years ago you would have waited (in vain) for everyone to disappear. :-) But they do make the view nicer, even though the church is nice enough and seen here in a perfect exposure and sharpness.
I spent maybe an hour in Bath in 1966 and didn't see anything but the bus station and the nearest 2-3 blocks. It was raining so heavily that I completely lost my interest in sightseeing.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Gert,
Thank you so much for your kind words. To be honest, I did try recording more empty square, and maybe have the people further back in the scene but with no luck so in the result I have a lot of versions of this spot but this was the best compromise of the light and people's poses. Also the moments with good light were really brief. My wife and daughter missed these moments, they gave up and went shopping. I had a similar experience to yours while visiting The Hague. Yes the weather makes a huge difference. It really discourages me from visiting the countries in the north, hence I still rather postpone my trip to Stockholm, rather aiming at the southern destinations with a more hope for the sunny weather. Kind regards, Mariusz |
