Photographer's Note
The small village of Rhumsiki is set in a lunar landscape of extraordinary volcanic plugs and basalt outcrops surrounded by a series of imposing peaks.
André Gide, writer and explorer, found the area so attractive he considered it was "one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world".
The mountains are dotted with little thatched houses huddling against the rocks and looking almost if they had simply grown rather than been constructed.
I took this shot during harmattan period: a wind bringing sahara sand in suspension giving the idea of a foggy atmosphere.

Hi Alberto.
Marvellous shot with soft colors reinforced by the sand mist. I like very well how you framed this pict. From my opinion a light crop of the top (sky)would locate the horizon for a better respect of the 3/3 rules. Stunning postvolcanic landscape.
Cheers

Very nice picture, Alberto.
Thank you for sharing. Very soft focus goes well with eveing mild colors and your foggy-windy atmosphere.
I think, the "tooth"-rock is too centered in your composition. Myabe, some cropping (see previous critique ) togeter with cutting the image from the right would make the picture more impresive. just an idea)

Thanks! nice shot , well done!

Bonjour Alberto,
Cordialement, Laurent.

Superbe image !

Hello Alberto
Your pictures continue to amaze me...I cannot but agree with Gide totally..the landscaope is amazing with the jutting basalt cores forming a landscape which is out of the world. Taken in morning light, nice & soft with the long shadows. Wonderful

Angshu
