Photographer's Note
When the means are lacking, you have to make do with recovered products ... this is the way in some countries! Souvenir of a Christmas tree seen in Cape Verde on the island of Boa Vista. An original, simple and well-made Christmas tree: a post and plastic bottles as garlands ... This shows us the reality in certain regions where we do not see, as in our countries, such a profusion of garlands, of lights and glitter for the end-of-year holiday decorations… a sobriety that calls out.

Hello Jean,
I like this Christmas tree very much. It was created from the lack of resources. but in a richer country an artist could have made the same kind of tree and had it exposed in a gallery.
Regards,
Gert

Bonjour Jean,

Bonjour Jean,
Great capture of this extraordinary Christmas tree.
I have never seen one like this before. It is very environmentally friendly. I wouldn't mind spending Christmas on Cape Verde but the restriction are sadly coming back,
Very well seen and captured,
M

Bonjour Jean, an ingenious way of using plastic bottles, and using a telegraph pole as its base.
A simple tree but very effective.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Jean,
This holiday scene is just as lovely as more spectacular displays in wealthier locations. I like the bright colors of the building that's a backdrop to this unique tree. That pot on the roof is also an interesting detail. Take care!

Hi Jean
A simple 'festive tree' and a simple shot combined but there's still some nice elements to make a decent composition.
Best regards

Bonjour Jean,

Hi Jean,
It is the strangest Christmas tree I have seen. Empty plastic bottles is indeed a resource there's no shortage of. But that has required quite some effort, so I appreciate it. Interesting view from this desert island.

Hello Jean, Not an especially beautiful construction from the used plastic bottles but it proves that one can make something interesting from nothing. Nice colours.

Bonjour Jean

I presume the visual effect is better at night. I liked a lot the ceramic pot in the top of the building.
