Photographer's Note

The view of the West bank of the Nile. It was such a pleasure to see such landscape views during a cruise. I was delighted with them. It seems that nothing has changed there in thousands of years.

Hello Malgo,
I looked carefully at the enlarged version to see if I could find at least a mobile tower, but I didn't, so maybe not much has changed here in thousands of years. It's a beautiful scenery, which is enhanced by the warm light and the slight haze. I like the view in WS #2 as well, especially the minaret, its reflection and the boat just crossing the reflection.

Ciao Malgo,I'm curious to know how many tourists there were now in Egypt, one of the few countries open to tourism, but for the money the Egyptians also throw themselves out the window..ahaha..3 beautiful photos that take me back 12 years when I also took the Nile cruise, the main photo is magical and takes advantage of the warm light of the best moment. Hello Malgo,
As I was never in Luxor, I looked with great interest at your photo in the WS.
A very nice composition and the small boat in the foreground is well placed.
I see more modern buildings than I expected or remember from Aswan. But it is certainly a very successful photo.
Your main picture is without any doubt a real beauty.
Wonderful green and fertile border of the Nile with the impressive reddish mountains in the background.
The person in the small boat, another person who's washing something in the river and the cattle increase the charm of the picture.
Quite an almost idyllic image of Egypt on the Nile.

This is lovely almost like a Victorian painting. The contrast between the mountains in the background and the foreground colours are very good. Well worth looking at in the expanded version, a lot more to see.

A lovely view from the Nile. Contrast between green riverside and bare desert rocks in the background tell clearly how the Nile means everything over there. Quite idyllic scene without many signs of human presence.

This is such a great scene, and it really does look like a scene from ancient times. I like the earthy colors, and the way the view is divided between the palm trees and the rocky hills. The grazing animals are nice, too. Take care!

Yes, it is an enchanting view. You can see that desert sand hanging in the air. Saharan dust reaches even across the Mediterranean all the way to Turkey.

I probably did the same cruise to Aswan. It was fairly cheap. I also got some nice views of the Nile, but was probably eating my meal at dusk. Good to see what I missed. Looks like a painting. Tfs!

I saw this river twice (by air) hahha.
I wanted to see it near of me in 2020, but pandemic arrived..
nice contrast between the narrow humid edges of the river and the dry rocky slopes ahead. many animals and palm trees. my new series of travel will begun two weeks ahead..
