Photographer's Note
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all friends from TE and their families!
I was rather surprised and found it ridiculous that there were Christmas decorations in Egypt. Of course, mainly in places with Western tourists. These are Christmas decorations on the ship.
Two more photos in Workshops.

Hello Malgo,
This is a scene that you do not immediately expect in Egypt and therefore a nice unexpected photo to get us into the Christmas mood.
Excellent observation!
Merry Christmas, groet Rob

Hello Malgo,I agree with you, it seems very odd the see reindeer, snowmen, Christmas trees etc., in a country like Egypt, it must have been for the benefit of Western visitors.
Well TE is learning about the world so your shots fit that description!
Three sharp shots.
Merry Christmas to you.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Malgo,
It was nice of them to make a holiday display, and I find it amusing that there are bags with the word "snow" written on them. I'm sure the snow in those bags must have melted a long time ago! :-) Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Hello Malgo,
When I was still working I visited Egypt twice during our Easter holidays. I was then also surprised to see so many chocolate Easter eggs in the shops.
Big chocolate eggs in a very warm country where not everyone had the possibility to keep them cool. Moreover, in a country that I thought was culturally so different from Europe.
However, it shouldn't surprise us since christianity is the second largest religion in Egypt. The majority of Egyptian Christians are Copts and they make up about 10 percent of the total population.
The reindeer and snow-covered Christmas trees in Egypt should not surprise us any more than when we see them in countries where it is currently summer, such as Brazil or Australia.
But I can understand your surprise. Just like I when I was once there at Easter.
I admit it's very funny to see a reindeer on Ram's avenue.
I see the hotel in Hurghada had its own private ram :)
Clear and sharp shots!
Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Hello Malgo,
Didn't you know that Christian culture imperialism has invaded the entire world? ;-) I prefer the WS photos because the colours and lights have a nicer effect in the darkness outside.
But Merry Christmas in any case.

Witaj Malgo!
You were obviously lucky to catch a cruise ship. I've got friends who had boarded for a cruise in March 2020, but haven't been let off the ship and finally disembarked at Dubai to be airlifted directly home. In late October, we had a common raclette after which one of the guests was tested positive two days after, and this was less that 14 days before their boarding for their next attempt, so they were rejected. Be glad!
I wonder in Coptic Christians play a noticeable role in Egyptian public life. This here is for tourists, of course.
A Merry Christmas for you and all of your family from rainy Rhineland.

Rzeczywiscie, troche to dziwne, ale szal swiatecznych dekoracji rozlal sie juz po prawie calym swiecie. Pamietam choinki, ktore fotografowalam w Nepalu.
Jak ten czas leci, ja sie ciagle zastanawiam, kiedy Malgo jedzie do Egiptu! :-D
Pozdrawiam serdecznie i rowiez zycze milego drugiego dnia swiat. Tez mam choinke tu i cos w rodzaju choinki tam, mimo ze Swieta spedzam w Polsce.

Hello Malgo,
About 10 % of the population in Egypt is Christian, so why not? Nice gesture, even if it is for tourists.
Merry Christmas,

Hi Malgo
Don't forget that Egypt has a significant Christian minority - the Coptics.
A good trio from Luxor.
cheers
