I've seen this little child, when strolling around on a really hot day, in the market of Bamako. I liked that she was placed in the middle of a mountain of oranges, completely alone, so she seemed to be the seller of them. Finally I conviced myself of it, when have seen her small hand showing 500 CFA for one kg. A reasonable price...and of course, I bought from her.

Wonderful portrait of this young seller. The light is very pleasant and enhancing and the orange background is due to the colour and repetitive effect great as well. Thanks for sharing!

The image is well composed with the piece of wood framing the lower part, the oranges otop with a diagonal which is also followed by the kid glance.... Good color saturation, sharp details.

Hi Attila,

Great portrait of young business man and he started first lesson of life very early. His uncleaned sweater tells stains are as same on oranges at background. Excellent capture, colors and sharpness as usual. Wonderful.

The vertical framing fits well the scene with the cute little seller (she looks like 2/3 years old) who stands so well against the oranges providing a perfect BG. Colors and sharpness are fine too.

immagine che rappresenta molto bene la vita quotidiana di quei Paesi. Spesso, per convenienza o per necessit�, i bambini vengono messi vicino alla merce da vendere per attirare la gente, specialmente i turisti. Per�, di fronte ad una scena cos�, probabilmente anch'io avrei comperato le arance, sperando di aiutare quel bambino. Hai postato una bella foto, bravo.

Tunemenyes kep! Olyan szeretetremelto ez a kis csoppseg ahogy ott ul a narancshalmaz kozepen a kis piszkosszurke kardiganjaban, mutatva az arat :),hat persze, hogy vasaroltal a kinalatabol!

Beautiful portrait from this cute little girl with nice orange as bg, you have framed it perfect. Its always touched to see this kind of picture, there are so many children around us with such kind of condition. Indeed her cute expressions make this picture special.

beati voi...noi � tanto se riusciamo ad andare in montagna...anzi forse ci andremo il prossimo w.e.!
ben 101 km...1.30 di auto...ma organizzativamente pare sar� un incubo...culle, lettini, ciucci, tonnellate di pannolini, bavaglioli, tutine rosa....si ricomincia da capo....

certo che poi parlando di bimbi e vedere questa foto � un calcio nelle palle.l'Africa deve essere molto dura da visitare anche per questo.

I have seen similar situations in the Dominican rep and Haiti, in which the parents "bring their children to work" even though it is not a safe environment and very often the children start selling the goods at a very early age to be able to help the family sustain itself. Images like this reminds us how lucky some of us are.

una immagine che fa tenerezza e che fa pensare allo stesso tempo. Anche se la bimba non ha guardato in camera il risultato e' cmq molto buono. I colori e i loro contrasti sono belli cosi' come i dettagli raccolti.

This child looks a little upset to me. Perhaps you payed not enough for those oranges :) I like the contrast between the dark skin and the yellow oranges (well, I know that they are orange but how does "orange oranges" sound? It is a great picture. I only would like to see some catchlights in his eyes. You did a wonderful job! Thanks for sharing!
