Photographer's Note
ENGLISH: This photo was taken just before sunset at Bronte Beache. You can see the Bronte Rock Pool in the FG looking out towards the Pacific Ocean. Although the weather is getting colder here in Sydney (we are well into Autumn now), the water was quite warm at 17C.
I would love to tell you that I jumped in and swam a few laps of the pool, but that would be fibbing! Bronte is one of the City Beaches on the south side of the Bridge. It would be my favourite of the southern beaches although still cannot complete with those of the North.

Hi Lisa,
Finally got my e-mail alerts fixed! Yay! Had to perform magic tricks, but I have them the way I want 'em. Just in time to catch your latest, too.
This is a really nice foul weather shot, excellent exposure of the sky and clouds, good blurring of the water. I like the guard line around the edge of the pool, it helps to lead the eye across the frame.
How cold will it get in Sydney at the coldest? Still kind of freaks me out that it is cold and nasty somewhere while it is reaching the time where we have tornados and heat waves!
As they say, it's a topsy-turvey world!
Have a great Friday!

I like the nice colours of the sky and also the good sense of motion in the water. Just one think, 17C is cold for QLD standards!!! Well done.

Afternoon Lisa,
Nice dark 'Moody Blues' capture of the Bronte Pool, ocean and clouds. I really like the tinge of redness caught in the fading sunset. The pool looks inviting -you should have pumped up and gone in for a dip :) I also strongly agree with Reed that the guard rail help to drag the eye around the frame. Nice work as usual. TFS.
Warm regards,
Graham.

Hi Lisa,
Fair dinkum, I reckon you ought to give up shots with horizons in them, it must drive you nuts me always on about it.
Great shot, brilliant POV and composition, actually I'm moved enough to say, inspired.
Good judgement on exposure time, the water looks amazing, and that sky, superb.

Hi Lisa, The dark colours work well to add mood to the scene. choice of exposure was good, giving just the right amount of blur in the water. As for the horizon...
Enjoy your weekend.

a very dramatic atmosphere ! I lke the blurred effect on the waves, and that little touch of pink at the horizon.

hi Lisa
Somehow phwall always digs into tilted horizon, even a little one :) but he is sober enough to detect it here.
I see you are getting good at long exposure work now, especially when it comes to rain or water. This one makes good sense to try 1s for the soft effect of water motion to the railing and rocks. I think it is a good choice you made on your setting.
I am happy to read that you jumped into the 17C water, but hopefully not with the camera :)
A great shot of scene that does not remind me of Sydney. It is borderless world.

Hello Lisa,
There is a strong ambiance here with this special lightning. It is dreamlike with the blur put on the wave by the long time exposure and the clouds which seems not affected.

Hello Lisa,
A splendid composition with a wonderful atmosphere occasioned by that stormy looking sky. The long exposure has really paid off making for interesting contrasts in textures either side of the railing. A fine image, thanks for sharing.

Ciao Lisa,

Wonderful Lisa...
the last session in your gallery i look to increase the ability of use of your camera in this situation of low light. Very good the effect of long exposition and the p.o.v. is fantastic! You have managed the lighting, contrast and sharp very well...my best compliments Lisa.
Have nice day.

Hi Lisa
Hot water at 17°C? You're joking! My wife usually go swimming when it's going to rain, not to get wet under the storm!
Nice colour (photographically speaking), manuy cold hues, and sea movement.
Great shot

Ciao cara,
Hai raggione, questo luogo è bellissimo. Non pensavo che era una piscina, immaginavo piuttosto un bacino, per pesci ad esempio. Fa della magia questa tecnica, rende i luoghi irreali trovo.
40 gradi...Mamma mia... Buon coraggio. Troppo al mio gusto ma qui, fa -1° e non è al mio gusto non più ! :)
Buona giornata !
Un abbraccione.
