Photographer's Note

For me Campo Maior is more than flower decorations- I like that town, including its castle. It dates from the Medieval period but it has been partially rebuilt in the Renaissance period. It was here that, in the beginning of the 18th century, on a stormy night, a lightning hit a warehouse that kept the gunpowder and munitions, causing a huge explosion that destroyed part of the town and killed hundreds of people.

Bonjour Ana,

J'aime beaucoup l'effet du filtre polarisant dans cette composition, surtout l'effet qu'il a sur les nuages leur donnant presque un effet 3D.Une tr鑣 belle construction d'image.

This one is so typical for you. It's really fine, the composition. That wall going diagonal to the white building. The light is splendid and it's great when ever the sky is darker than the ground. I don't understand if it's post processing or natural, though??

you have made good use of the polariser to darken the sky and add both impact and drama to a well composed scene.
The diagonal lines are particularly well employed.

A fine choice of pov to play with the lines of the walls and the chapel. Well considered & finely executed too. The deep blue sky (strongly polarized, I guess) is impressive too.

The polarizer has given you really stunning colors on this scene indeed. Superb the way how the wall is leading the eye towards the white building and the castle walls behind. It is a clean and crisp composition.

Your polarizer has really done its work for you in this shot! But it's the composition that is the most significant feature for me: the placement of the white building and the diagonal lines leading our eyes towards it is masterful.
