After the cold weather. Portugal is beginning to have a temperature more Mediterranean.
On this day beautiful, with good weather and pleasant temperature of 24C. I went to the parish of Cascais, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean and located in the margin west (W) the Lisbon.

Cascais (pron. IPA: [kɐʃ'kajʃ]) is a coastal town 30 kilometres west of Lisbon, with about 35,000 residents in the town. It is a cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Nowadays it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists. Cascais is also a municipality with over 180,000 inhabitants. It is located in the Estoril Coast (named after Estoril, a civil parish), in Greater Lisbon subregion.It has an airport for general aviation serving the Lisbon Region in Tires (S. Domingos de Rana), "Aeroporto Municipal de Cascais". (In :Wiki)

Cascais Marina has a vocation for staging major International Events and is the ideal setting for welcoming and catering for the leisure and comfort of everyone who drops by.

In the recent past it hosted major races like ISAF Sailing World Championship, the European 49ers Championship, the QuebraMar Regatta, Cowes-Cascais, Portugal Sailing Tour-de-France, Portugal Match Cup, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I抯 Trophy including many other competitions which have helped to promote the name of Cascais Marina nationally and internationally.

The major competitions have not only brought together ocean sailors at the Marina but also many crowned heads of old Europe who are also lovers of the sea and good winds as is the case of King Juan Carlos of Spain, Constantine of Greece and Harold of Norway.

Skippers like Russell Cutts from New Zealand, the Australian Peter Gilmour, Jesper Radich of Denmark, Geoffrey Meek of South Africa, Bertrand Pac� of France, Peter Holmberg of the Team Alinghi, Ed Baird an American from Team Musto, Staffan Linderg from Finland, Christopher Law from Great Britain as well as the well-known Chris Dickson are just some of the ocean sailors who have already raced regatta in the waters of Cascais.

Hello Felipe,

this photo is outstanding for its colours and light, both are so fine and crystal clear, really a light not found very often.
And the place is interesting enough, at least for me being a sailing enthusiast (I'd like to see the marina...). The sky would justify the composition by itself. Very pleasurable.

Hi Filipe,

The reflecyions in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the city which is giving depth to the photo. The presence of the boats has an effect of scale. The sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the picture. Well done, have a nice day.

hello Filipe,
I could do without the blue letters on the bottom, but that's a minor point. I like a lot how silky the photo feels, a little like painting, is this an effect from gaussian blurr or just how the light was on that day? in any case, I like the dream-like result a lot. beautiful!

Hi, Filipe. A very colourful foreground with the boats contrasting well with the water and filling the space very well. A nice sky occupying two thirds of the picture, which gives an impression of space. And very nice colours making the photo very agreeable to look at.

Ao ver esta foto lembro-me da m鷖ica dos Delfins, talvez pelo titulo, talvez pelos barcos...
Independentemente do que me faz lembrar, a foto est� bonita, com uma perspectiva de fora para dentro.� uma foto que nos envolve, em que os azuis e o ambiente em geral nos transmite serenidade.

Greetings Filipe,

A lovely shot with great colour management. But, mainly I have picked this one out for the memories it brings back: in 1975, when I was 10, our familt lived for a year in Oeiras, and Cascais was where we spent a lot of time - I have great memories of the beach there. Thanks for the memories, and a great photo.

estoy mirando tu galer韆 y encuentro antiguas fotos muy bonitas y agradables, como 閟ta.
Captaste impecablemente el paisaje de la bah韆 de Cascais, con un buen contraste entre la arquitectura de la ciudad, las barcas ancladas, y los tonos azules del mar y del cielo, el cual adem醩 tiene unas preciosas pinceladas blancas creadas por las nubes finas.
