Photographer's Note
It was a beautiful sunny day in the Docklands, and while waiting for my train, seeing the sun setting behind the buildings, I could not resist taking this picture.
The Docklands Light Railway runs through the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf, and it is usually cramped with suit-clad bankers, always busy with their Blackberries and often with miserable looks on their faces.
But on a sunny weekend, with the sunlight beautifully reflected, and with the rails sneaking around the buildings, even this place has a bit of magic.
EDIT: Cropped the picture a tiny bit, in order to remove a little defect resulted from the correction of the lens distortion. I also cut a bit of the leftmost building, because I feel it was getting in the way of the whole dynamism of the composition.
I obviously used HDR to obtain the overall effect (except for the sky), but I tried to keep it to a reasonable level.

Hi Alberto,
indeed a beautiful day and i can see why you could not resist to take this photo. The warm light paints the right side of the picture in an attractive way and the curves leads the eyes deep into this beautiful photo. I like the pattern and shape of the rails. It reminds of something created of the Swiss artist H R Giger. I am no big fan of HDR photos but this is like you say. It is kept to a reasonable level. Well done !
Best regards.

Ciao Alberto,
I am not a big fan (quite the contrary) of HDR photos, but here you made a pretty decent work. The colors are on the edge between real and surreal (esp. on the left building) and together with the composition it makes the photo look like a some kind of an industrial/post-modern dream. Maybe if you took a shot of this scenery without the sunlit building, this impression would be even stronger. I can磘 help myself - the bright sunlit patch disturbs me very much, it just screams out from the otherwise homogenous color range of the image. But this is of course my subjective feeling, as far as I see, other critics feel just the opposite about it :-)
Nevertheless, it is good photo, it磗 of the few that made me look and think about it for more than just a few seconds!
