Postcard from Maguez, a photo from Lanzarote, Canarias

Photographer's Note

On the next day of our trip to Lanzarote we decided to make a roundtrip by car. We have visited several locations. We managed to see all the places we wanted to visit on the island although if we had one more day we would have enough to see again. On the way to the village of Haria we stopped along the road for a nice view. My satnav told me it is Haria but in fact I found out later that we had Haria behind out back while this village is called Maguez. The characteristic shape of the volcano on the right side is Volcan de la Corona.

Inner land scenery with notable houses paibnted white at the foot of the hilly terrain,

Good choice to add the plants, Agava na Cactuses in the FG.
Light and shadows variable, contrast and clarity superbly collected.

Hello Mariusz, a fascinating landscape. I have never been to the Canary Islands, so your shots are a good introduction.
I like the inclusion of the cacti and thorny plants in the foreground which are an indicator of the climate.
The volcano is a good distant focal point.
The clouds have given you some patches of shadow on the land which adds to the whole picture.

Hello Mariusz,
A pueblo blanco as there are many in Andalusia.
However, this time with a volcano nearby.
I've often heard that lava soil is very good soil. This place clearly appears to be an agricultural area.
At the moment the island of La Palma is seriously expanding its agricultural land ... But it will take a long time before something grows on it.

here I can imagine as my region was millions of years ago. marvelous the white pueblo in the flatland surrounded by mountains. very beautiful image.
the only portuguese writer who got a nobel prize lived his last days in this island.

Sensational composition, I love the view of the village so white at the foot of the volcanoes, well chosen the POV with the greenery of these plants to the right of the bottom.
It seems as if we had gone on different trips, because when I read your note the name of this town did not even sound like it, to read below that you were on your way to Haria, I already located at least the area, in Haria if I was but very little time, and If I had gone with my car it was a place for good and different photos.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and magnificent composition; they are managed to perfection, in this beautiful image.
