Hello friends, photo in the town of Marv鉶, the sky was a little overexposed, but I liked this yellow car when pass through the gates, I decided to publish in the TE , I tried shooting at other cars but did not pass any more yellow :(

Marv鉶

Between Castelo de Vide and Portalegre, and only a few kilometres from Spain, stands the peaceful town of Marv鉶, on the highest crest of the Serra de S鉶 Mamede.
The hilltop village of Ammaia, as it was then known, owes its current name to the fact that it was used as a place of refuge by Ibn Mar鷄n, a Moorish warrior, during the 9th century. The Arab domination of the area lasted for several centuries and ended when the military campaign of 1160/66 for the Reconquest of the territory resulted in yet another victory for the Christian forces led by D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal.
Geographically, Marv鉶 is a point of natural strategic defence, marked by steep slopes to the north, south and west. Access on foot is only possible from the east, which was the direction in which the town gradually spread.
This fact did not go unnoticed by both conquerors and kings, who always took care to strengthen both the castle and its walls. It played a fundamental role in major military conflicts, including the fight between the king D. Dinis and his brother D. Afonso (1299), the Dynastic Crisis of 1383-85, the Wars for the Restoration of Independence (1640-68), the War of Spanish Succession (1704-12) and the Peninsular Wars (1807-11). Marv鉶's importance was recognised when it was raised to the status of a town by D. Sancho II, in 1266. The charter was renewed in 1299, and a New Charter was granted by D. Manuel, in 1512, who left his mark on the town with the building of the Pillory and the placing of the royal coat of arms on the Town Hall.
Inside the walls are narrow streets lined with the beautiful popular houses that are typical of the Alentejo. Amidst them, it is easy to find Gothic arches, Manueline windows, wrought-iron balconies and other embellishments in the nooks and crannies of the buildings made from the local granite.
Besides the castle and the walls that no visitors to the town will ever forget, Marv鉶's architectural heritage includes the Igreja de Santa Maria, a church that has been transformed into the Municipal Museum, the Igreja de Santiago, the Renaissance Capela do Esp韗ito Santo and the Convento de Nossa Senhora da Estrela, lying outside the walls.
One of the main reasons for visiting Marv鉶 is the beautiful view over the surrounding region. To best appreciate it, we recommend the views from the top of the castle磗 high keep (Torre de Menagem) and from the Pousada de Santa Maria, luxurious hotel accommodation that has been formed through the adaptation of two of the town's houses and also offers you a place to rest and savour the delicious regional cuisine.
The Chestnut Festival, which is held in November, is an excellent occasion for visiting the town and getting to know more about its people and the local customs.

The gate looks narrow, lets`s hope it was enough space for the car to pass through :) The car is a bit blurry and it gives a good impression of movement, beautiful environments and fine colors, Tfs.

3) Slightly motion of the modern subject vs the ancient one

Ol� gon鏰lo, gostei do carro amarelo em movimento na cena, � um peugeot? Engra鏰do que a fachada do lado esquerdo me lembra uma face de um personagem de desenho e o arco seria a boca. Gostei desse local em Marv鉶.

The car being blur is indicating movement. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the gate. The late afdternoon light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Yellow Peugeot seems to take a warp drive like a time machine. Very interesting motif, and a motion blur gave an exquisite movement effect to the image. yellow of Peugeot is truly pretty.

N鉶 h� d鷙idas que no pr髕imo m阺 de Agosto tenho que programar uma visita ao Marv鉶!!

Quanto � tua fotografia, ela sem o carro j� estava muito boa, nomeadamente pela maneira como geriste a luz na sombra e pela defini玢o! Mas a passagem do carro acrescenta uma mais valia � fotografia pelo contraste e pelo movimento! Very nice work!

bien captado el movimiento de este coche amarillo que parece que vaya a empotrarse contra la peque馻 puerta de la muralla.
Y es precisamente ese coche amarillo el que aporta un buen dinamismo y un toque de color a la foto, que has compuesto con eficacia.

the gate seem almost too small for the car to pass from this perspective. I like the motion blur of the car as it speed pass you, the rest is in great detail and nice sharpness. Beautiful color and well managed light in the shadow.

Ciertamente valia la pena aprovechar el paso del coche para realizar la foto pues da un buen contrapunto entre lo moderno y lo antiguo, tambien da un bonito contraste de color.
Buena imagen del patio del castillo, tenias dificil la posicion de la luz pero el resultado esta bien logrado.

Hehehehe I see that you also like orange cars. Although this is a Peugot and mine is a Fiat. I like the motion blur and the absolute sharpness of the foreground. The huge foreground and perspective, your trademarks, are superbly thought-out and realised.

Excelente contraste entre o antigo castelo e o novo carro.
Gostaria de ver mais carros com essas cores fortes. A maioria em Portugal � de carros cinzentos escuros.

The speeding car through the gate, gave a dynamic scale to the old-town ruins. Good contrast collected, and I like the stone-pavement on ground.
Contrast of modern yellow with the brown old wall's is a nice idea.
