Photographer's Note
Maybe the film Made in Italy had not a big in IMDB Rating: 5.6/10 But I saw it with pleasure. I do not like horror, fantasy, war, crime stories - so what is left?
It is quite clear that I wanted to visit Pienza. It is a small town in Tuscany, but full of monuments, with the wonderful views of Val d'Orcia and UNESCO site. But I do not remember why I wanted to go to Monticchiello, a small unknown town. Probably I just saw a signpost with the route 9 km, and I thought that it would be nice walked through the fields.
I have found in Google interesting data about the inhabitants in 2011. There liven then 98 males and 104 females. Kids up to 19 years - 23, age 20 to 49
- 70, age 50-69 55 people and 70+ elderly -54 persons. 183 Italians and 19 foreigners. Total - 202 persons. In a part of my district, there live more people. But it didn't seem abandoned.
it is a small square in front of the old church. Funny that you can see just this place in 0.56 min in the trailer of the movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUOjmHnW.
I made this discovery a few years earlier than the film-makers.
Two more pictures in Workshop. Only in one, there is a couple of visitors.

I like this one even more than your previous post, Malgo.
The sideways look onto the stairs, all the angles in the frame...great!
You could have made a job hunting film locations. At least I've heard that it is a job, sounds like a job I'd like to do!

Hello Malgo,
These photos are all very nice, and we get a clear idea that it's a fine village well worth a visit. You had a good light and managed very fine colours. There are lots of attractive details in the main photo, including the big staircase and the flower pots, but I slightly prefer the WS with the two persons. Not so much just because of them, but because I like that I can look along two narrow streets, and the building in the middle is rather peculiar. The balcony with the many pots and plants seem to be leaning heavily (unless there is some kind of optical illusion).
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo,
A walk of 9 km is certainly possible to discover such a beautiful gem.
The stairs are placed centrally on your main photo. Around it we see wonderful old houses. The warm colour of the stone facades makes this village very attractive.
In the WS we see that other tourists also have discovered this village.
Three beautiful pictures of which I like your main upload the most.
Best regards, Paul

Hello MALgo,
This is ITALY for me. So Italy - everywhere I look and feel.
I just love the natural colours of this place - the colour of the sun - mild yet vibrant. Not only the 2WS - the whole pictures of this Monticchiello. It's nice to know that females are more than males - in this term I won't mind living in this village :-)
I like the actor Liam Neeson, definitely I'll watch this film 'Made in Italy' and I'll visualize you as if you're in the film - a film worth watching :-) I believe that your rating is better than the IMDB.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Malgo,
The steps in frontt of the church are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings and part of the church. It is clear and sharp. Have a nice day.

Bonjour, chère Malgo,
Nos aïeux ne devaient pas connaître le fil à plomb au regard des lignes architecturales.
Mais, c'est cela qui fait tout le charme de ce village médiéval.
Un vrai régal.
Amitiés.

Hello dear Malgo....
no people down there...it is a pity
that small cities with great history
are often abandoned because people
prefers visiting big cities in order
to find work there...

Hi Malgo, you chose a good POV to show us this picturesque Italian town. Makes me dream of travelling there and enjoying the warm sun and maybe a beer in a cafe. Cheers, Steve

malgo
a nice angle catching well the stone walls and these many details of the local architecture with medieval roots. nice the light too. here in northern paraná some villages were created during colonization and were dismantled few years after because the houses were made of timber.
take care

Hello, it is as if time has stopped in that medieval town. The old buildings in stone, the stairs, the cobbled alleys have a lot of charm. The flowers add nice red tints to the scene. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Malgo, this looks a delightful place to wander around, and I guess that there were lots of opportunities for photography.
The warm tones of the stonework of the buildings, with the various details, buildings joined to other buildings at strange angles, all add up to interesting pictures.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Ciao Margherituccia
come stai?
Carlo

Hello malgo,
You must have been so please you made the decision to walk here, when you saw the beauty of this little village!
From this viewpoint, the steps become important features; they lead upwards via the flower containers, or they lead us smoothly to the quaint, stone houses.
All are a delight to view!
Your exposure is first rate!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Malgo,
This is another beautiful town view. I like this one without any people; the stairs make a nice focal point. I like the flower pots, too. I think more people live on my block here in Brooklyn than live in this entire town! it must be very peaceful...

Hello Malgo.
Delicious medieval corner with those houses all made of stone and the staircase that leads to the church, some pots of geranias give color to so much stone.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
