Just near the Cudgegong River just outside Mudgee there used to be a quarry. That quarry has now been turned in to the Putta Bucca Wetlands.
Left behind from the quarry are a couple of wrecks, this one a truck now with long grass growing in the back.
In the WS are the remains of some sort of quarry machinery now in the middle of one of the wetland ponds.

Hello Ian,
Both photos are a bit funny. I love the thick vegetation growing in the back of the truck. The machinery seen in the WS could look quite scary when the light isn't so good. The famous monster of the Putta Bucca Wetlands.

Gert

Hi Ian,
The vegetation is framing well the wreck. The point of view is showing the details of the old truck. The light is qiving good colors rendering. Have a nice day.

Hi Lan
In the old days, cars broken on the streets were neglected for a long time in Korea, but now there are no cars left unattended due to strong laws and rising scrap prices.

Hello Ian,
Do you ever see Dr. Who in Australia?
This looks like some sort of creature that might have been invented for that series; the more wrecked and horrible, the better!
You have made a sharp, well composed photograph from the wreck. (The w/s looks like some horrendous crocodile, from the same series!)
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Ian,
Funny that the truck has been rusting there for a long time, but that the plants in its loading platform continue to grow.
Good composition, excellent sharpness and depth.
A strange machine found in the pond.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Ian,
Nice series of photos, such old damaged cars are so photogenic. The main one seems to be wrecked in the moment of making a turn which resulted in a original "pose". The grass growing at the back is so nice too. It must be either nature taking it over again or people decorating the place creatively.
Great shot,
M

the main post has a special touch of drama, looks like the old truck had moved a little to the right after "its death" as feeling pain. excellent.
take care

Hello Ian
And when I'm dead, I'll have grass growing from my belly...or something like that, as we 'd say in Flemish. Lovely portrait of this old wreck! Tfs.
