Nazar� beach during the winter is almost from the ocean and the brave fisherman that have courage to those sea. One single man on the sand makes us notice our dimension.

Welcome back to TE! This is a fabulous image! You are correct -- the single man on the sand provides the human dimension. It is often very difficult to convey the size of a landscape in a foto. You have succeeded here!

I tried to do the same in this posting, but I don't believe it was as effective as your composition.

Absolutely great! The curves of sand and sea. The soft tones. And indeed the little man putting everything in perspective. Congratulations. I have to add my points.

Maria, this is really a wonderful image; only the man (and perhaps the birds at top) give us any sense of perspective. Ansel Adams has a series of photos of the beach at Big Sur taken from the top of the cliffs, and it was always difficult for me to get the scale right. The man here solves that problem, and also, as you say, gives us a sense of how big the world is. Thanks for posting.

Ola Maria,
taken a short stroll through your gallery, immediately recognize this place, taken from the height of the Sitio.
The ocean currents here always creating those patterns over the sandy beach in Nazare'.
Lone figure gave excellent scale on picture.
