Olvera VI, a photo from Cadiz, Andalucia

Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I present a new view of the mountain village of Olvera with part of its countryside, I hope you like it, then some letters on the town.

Olvera is a municipality and town in the Spanish province of Cadiz, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is included in the region of the Sierra de C醖iz, within the judicial district of Arcos de la Frontera. Gets the title of city in 1877 granted by Alfonso XII. Door "White Towns of Andalusia" Olvera is located northeast of the Cadiz mountains, being bordering the provinces of Seville and Malaga. In 2012 it had 8494 inhabitants. Its surface area is 194 square kilometers and a population density of 44.1 inhabitants / km�. It is located at an altitude of 643 meters above sea level and 130 km from the provincial capital, Cadiz.

Most of their land in agricultural areas consist principally engaged in olive growing, being integrated into the Spanish Association of Olive Municipalities, an organization founded in Olvera in 1996. Its excellent production of olive oil has allowed its oil industry It has been included in the designation of origin Sierra de C醖iz, with other peoples of the region and the province of Seville. Another important economic activity is industry, having to his credit since 1990 the Rainbow Cooperative Award awarded by the Junta de Andaluc韆.

For the municipality of Olvera Greenway elapses the Sierra, the only route declared of tourist interest in Andalusia. It has also been considered the best greenway in Europe in 2005 and 2009. Also within the territory is olvere駉 Nature Reserve Rock of Zaframag髇 stands out as the largest nesting vultures in Andalusia and one of the largest in Europe .

Arab roots village was conquered by Alfonso XI in 1327 incorporating the kingdom of Castile. Restocking by Christian part was conducted through a town charter. During the war of independence, Olvera will host a French detachment.

The locality is declared a historic-artistic since 1983, with several civil and religious monuments of great artistic and architectural value. It also has several festivals declared of tourist interest such as Easter or Quasimodo Monday, being the oldest festival of the province of Cadiz.

Hello Angel,
A very attractive landscape composition with beautiful lights and colours. Excellent control over depth of field and superb sharpness throughout. I like the framing offered by the diverse vegetation and that lovely sky.

Bonjour Angel,

Une des plus belles r間ions du monde � visiter en voiture. Un peu comme la Toscane o� on fait de belles d閏ouvertes � tous les tournants. Ici, les villages blancs prennent une belle place parmi les oliviers.

non posso fare a meno di osservare le colline coltivate a olivi, qui siamo nel cuore della prima produzione a livello mondiale di olio. Anche io ho una piccola produzione di olio per uso personale e so cosa vuol dire lavorare gli olivi.
Bella panoramica, le case bianche contrastano con i terreni coltivati.

Hola Angel,
I like this view and how you divided the frame in two parts, the upper one being fresh and evoking gentle movement whilst the lower part offers a vast and interesting view. Found a most prominenet POV over the town in white and the green hills beyond, Angel.
A fine combined composition, on a good visibility day, shadows mingle with lit parts beautifully.

Hello Angel,

The yellow stripes of the agave plant at right and the yellow of the shrub at left set up a nice warm vs cold color contrast against the blue sky. Good sharpness and excellent colour and saturation. The expansive view from the elevated vantage point is magnificent. Tfs.
