Photographer's Note

With my visit to Piazza dei Miracoli, obviously I could not fail to show also the famous leaning tower, symbol of Pisa and known all over the world. But I thought of something different, a photo reflected in a window of a wine shop, of which Tuscany is a great producer. In the 2 WS, in addition to the classic postcard, you can see the best POV, between the two cypresses, where you can observe the attempt to straighten the tower starting from the middle up, if you look carefully you can see a curvature to the right of the part high. It is something that I did not know and that I got to know thanks to Carlo, a truly precious guide.

Con la mia visita in Piazza dei Miracoli, ovviamente non potevo non mostrare anche la famosa torre pendente,simbolo di Pisa e conosciuta in tutto il mondo. Ma io ho pensato a qualcosa di diverso, una foto riflessa in una vetrina di un negozio di vini, di cui la Toscana � grande produttrice. Nei 2 WS, oltre alla classica cartolina, potete vedere il miglior POV, tra i due cipressi, dove si riesce ad osservare il tentativo di raddrizzare la torre a partire dalla meta' in su, se guardate bene si nota una curvatura verso destra della parte alta. E' una cosa che non sapevo e che ho conosciuto grazie a Carlo,un guida davvero preziosa.

Tu as eu une bonne id閑 d'utiliser la vitre pour montrer la tour. La prise de vue permet de voir les d閠ails de la tour de Pise en reflet. La lumi鑢e met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne soir閑.

It was a nice idea to create this unique view of the famous tower. I am interested in the tray in the middle with several tiers. Are those marzipan fruits? I really like marzipan. :-)

On l'attendait ... la vue signature de Pise avec cette fameuse tour pench閑. Une pr閟entation originale avec ces reflets dans la vitrine, bien aussi le cadrage en Ws et la tour encadr� d'arbres bien droits.

Elle penche toujours autant, m阭e � travers le reflet de la vitrine, et la pr閟ence de boissons peut laisser croire que l'on a trop go鹴� � celles-ci pour voir la tour pench閑 ! ;o)
En effet, la tour a tendance � pencher du c魌� droit en partie haute !

ciao Luciano, Original capture from the Piazza dei Miracoli. What is real, what is reflected? But from this side the tower is not leaning. Very interesting composition, rich in details.

In a place as famous as this it is really hard to take a photo that doesn't look like thousands of others. But you did well with this reflected view. The tower looks almost straight, but not as straight as the bottles. ;-) According to the WS the tower's angle seems to depend on where you are standing.

A brilliant photo with an attractive mix of reflection with the leaning tower of Pisa and the attractive bottles in the shop window.
You definitely deserve one of these bottles with this successful presentation.
The workshop photo are nice complementary and a bit more traditional.

I can agree that it was best POV upon the Torre, as written on the WS #2, placed it between the cypress trees. As fo the main photo, not the ideal condition for a reflection - but fairly good outcome of the opposite scenery.

this tower is ever amazing. I climbed it for chance. I never climb towers because I don't like to lost time in lines nor pay for that, but there wasn't nobody waiting in line and I decided to climb. nice use of the reflections here and nice the WS. I didn't know about they tried to avoid the mistake making it more inclined to the other side.

Luciano, the three views of Pisa tower are nice but i prefer the classic pictures instead of the reflection. Good idea to use a shop window in the surroundings to reflect the famous leaning tower, it offers costly French champagne. This monument attracts a lot of people coming from all over the world. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Of course you cannot miss the famous Leaning Tower, but then of course it is always to do it in an original way and reflections are always a good idea then. The tower is very nicely mixed with the many bottles in the shopping window as well as quite a few people in the street as well.

Nice photo of Torre di Pisa.

I miss this place, for sure it was a day of very interesting visits in Tuscany.

As for wines, I bought many while in Italy, some of them at the Supermarket to taste at the Hotel. The wines in Italy are very good and fairly priced. In Brazil, slightly better wines, mainly imported, tend to cost more.

Now that you tell us this attempt to correct the tower is indeed visible; I had not heard of it, it is proof that this facheux inclination is ancient...

It was a pleasure to catch up on the pictures you've posted. We were lucky to be able to travel at least a bit, and then I always stay away from computer screens as much as possible...so there were many great shots of yours to discover for me.

San Giulio certainly looks like a place I'd love to visit some day, as does this location, of course. You went for an original take on the (too?) well known symbol of Pisa...and it works. Bottles at the bottom!

I was surprised to see so few people on the different levels of the Leaning Tower. I was there in the 1980's when there were a lot of people everywhere.
I see that none of the bottles are leaning ... I must therefore first have been drinking more?
Difficult to take very original photos of this world famous monument, but your photos are very nicely done.

You certainly found a different way to show this world famous tower. This image has so many levels. Street view reveals many people and one police car. And behind the glass there's many top quality alcoholic drinks. And then there's some details I can't quite figure out. Like that pattern which looks like a back of a refrigerator.
