Photographer's Note

A symbolic photo of my week spent in Cuba. Always a lot of wind and clouds came and went. However, a good opportunity for long walks on beaches virtually deserted, with 25 degrees Celsius, the Cubans had cold ....
The picture shows the point where the Rio Boca Ciega flows into the sea on the Santa Maria del Mar beach.

POMERIGGIO DI VENTO

Una foto simbolica della mia settimana trascorsa a Cuba. Sempre molto vento e nuvole che andavano e venivano. Comunque una buona occasione per lunghe passeggiate su spiagge praticamente deserte,con 25 gradi centigradi,i cubani avevano freddo....
La foto mostra il punto in cui il Rio Boca Ciega sfocia nel mare sulla spiaggia di Santa Maria del mar.

Ciao Luciano,

It's hard to believe just 10 ago you were in Cuba. This is such an inviting scene with the pulverized coral creating the beach. That is what is so beautiful about the beaches in the Caribbean.

Une composition simple , mais parfaite et surtout , comme tu le dis , qui transmet bien le temps qu'il faisait : beau ciel nuageux , du vent dans les palmiers ...J'aime aussi les ombres sur le sable au premier plan .

A beautiful tropical beach and hardly a soul in sight apart from the kite flyers. Excellent point of view and judicious placement of the palm trees clearly struggling in the wind. I like the light and colours and that wonderful sky. Superb clarity and depth.

Un scatto simplice ma vincente. E un compositione che functiona bennissimo; le palme non centrate, il cielo dramatico, le ombre da 2 palme nascoste che fanno equilibrio nella compo. Colori belli-belli. Meglior di cosi ... non facilmente trovabile. Mi piace molto.

La distance entre la plage et l'horizon donne de la profondeur � la composition. Tu as bien captur� la puissance des vagues. La prise de vue permet de voir les d閠ails de la plage et des palmiers. Bonne journ閑.

Si l'on voulait vendre un petit coin du paradis, m阭e si c'est un petit peu venteux, cette photo serait l'outil id閍l. J'aime bien la position des deux palmiers dans le coin de l'image.

Beautiful seascape especially the lighting and with the dark clouds. I can almost the feel the strong wind blowing and it looks like ideal day for kitesurfing as those guys are doing. Good details. Well done, tfs.

che bella questa vista, quante scene interessanti ne sono aggiunte dal tempo incerto e dalla luce di quest' ora del giorno. Il paesaggio sembra semplice con i due alberi e la vasta zona piatta. Pero' c'e' un magnifico gioco di luce, ombre, tessiture e colori, un gran senso di dramma, azione nello sfondo e tanta energia. La qualita' della luce ed il forte vento vengono sentiti anche da noi. Complimenti e grazie!

Hey Luciano,

I would love to visit Cuba or the Caribbean in general, when there is 25 degrees celsisu. Perhaps a bit chilly for the locals, but just the right temperature for us ever cold Europeans: a decent temperature for swiming, but also a good temperature for sight-seeing.

A good symbolic photo, I think. Colors, sharpness, motive etc are all good.

it`s the inclusion of the kite surfers and the wind blown palm trees that add the finishing touches to a very atmospheric beach scene.
The long shadows in the FG also work well for me.

fotograficamente molto interessante il clima, le nuvole impreziosiscono il cielo e il vento crea movimento scuotendo gli alberi. Inoltre hai potuto passeggiare con la temperatura giusta, che vuoi di pi�.
Bella foto, ogni cosa al posto giusto, peccato che le vele siano lontane.

Funny that the Cubans found it cold. 25癈 is an ideal temperature.
Beautiful long shadows of the palmtrees and their leaves on the empty sandy beach.

Ciao caro Luciano,

You have composed this so well, the shadow of the palm tree is emerging from the corner and guiding us to the edge of the sea. I love how it disappears, temporarily, as if diving under the water.
I know you love beaches and this must have been a favourite, with its long stretches of sand, the sea flowing rhythmically onto the beach and hardly a person in sight, to spoil your enjoyment!
The light is is lovely, whilst the sky has some spreading clouds for interest.

Hello Luciano,
Great impression from the pretty empty beach. Although we can't feel the wind ourselves, the windy conditions are well conveyed in the photo by the palm trees in the wind and the kites of course. Nice cloudy sky too and the long shadows by the low sun look good in the foreground.

Hello Luciano,
This beach looks very flat and open to strong winds, probably a place better suited for refreshing walks fully dressed than for tanning or swimming. The two palms are good focal points in this generally rather empty view, and you placed them well. The clouds and the strong waves make the composition quite dynamic.

A beautiful deserted beach where the wind is quite palpable in the two palm trees. Perfect conditions for the kite surfers barely visible on the water. The gorgeous sky above completes this sumptuous scene perfectly.

bella cartolina di questa meraviglio isola Cuba. Nonostante la giornata ventosa viene voglia di fare una bella nuotata o meglio ancora snorkelling!!!!

After having a lot of wind on Cape Verde, I thought Caribbean will be calmer. The beautiful beaches are of less use if you can just walk along them. You had a fantastic light here, the shadows are so long and diagonal. Palm trees nicely decorate the beach. So spacious and nearly empty.
