A low tide and glorious autumn sunset on Shoreham Beach in West Sussex, England. The wooden seaweed encrusted breakwater dripping in the golden light. Breakwaters adorn many an English beach and are designed primarily to stop the effects of the tides, reducing the intensity of the waves and the effects of coastal erosion.

grt work,very creative,the colors are soft but very eyecatching due to the sharpness of the image.very good control of exposure .like the vividness of "blue".grt shot man.must add to my favrt list. thnx for sharing.

Hello Brian,

I don't think I can really add anything to the multitude of other critiques of praise with this one.

Your management of the light and colours is perfect. I presume that the light at the time was a bit brighter than it appears in the photograph, simply because of your exposure details. The composition is excellent, the strong diagonals of the posts (or "groynes") making a strong diagonal and a strong impact in the picture. And what a beautiful sky and what beautiful reflections!

Great shot. The pastel tones are so good you could eat them! Love the reflections, the strong sillhouettes and the textures on the sand in the FG. I just feel calm when I see this photo, hopefully you did too.

Ive had simulair effects and photos like this Brian,with golden light on the seasands,the dark wooden poles are good part and in no way disturbing !.
