Spoleto - Rocca Albornoziana

Made in the fourteenth century by Matteo Gattapone da Gubbio commissioned by Cardinal Albornoz is a massive rectangular building along its perimeter dominate six towers, connected by walkways which surround two internal areas: the courtyard of arms, troops and that honor. This courtyard, at whose center is a well with papal coats of arms is surrounded by a two-story portico on which overlook a large reception room and the room in the castle with valuable frescoes.

Your aspect is well chosen down this colonnade so that it creates an excellent sense of linear perspective by the reducing arches and pillars.
I just love the repetition of the shadows again, instrumental in creating this sense of perspective.
Your exposure is spot on and the colours very natural.

The sucession of arches is giving depth and perspective to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the arches. I like the play between the lighted and shadowed areas. Have a nice dya.

Here is another photo looking like a painting by De Chirico. The repetition of vaults and shadows create a fantastic depth and the light is masterly handled. Graphically and artistically this is a superb photo.

Great picture of this almost perfect scene. Funny that looking at this image I found a few disturbing elements. Not your fault of course. But the small window, the doormat and the electrical object on the left side. I hope you don抰 mind, but I removed them in a workshop.

the only thing missing in this scene is the lady in a red dress and high heels walking straight down the corridor :)

excellent depth, excellent lighting and shadow work.
I also like how the scene climbs upward from bottom to top.

Hello Silvio,
Here is another lovely frame full of arches, repeating patterns and interesting shadows. Very nicely done, another candidate for my Best of Arches theme. I think I like the main entry as it is better, the odd items may disturb the symmetry but add character.
