Share the Road..., a photo from Edirne, Marmara

Photographer's Note

After we saw Kırkpınar Er Meydanı, we continued with our quest of historic bridges around Edirne. Our next stop was Yalnızg鰖 and Bayezid Bridges, though at the time we did not realize they were two separate bridges. As we were approaching what we saw as a long bridge, there was a herd of sheep and goats coming our way from the other side. When a taxi came by, it was time to employ the long end of my zoom to record the event.

"Yalnızg鰖 Bridge ('Yalnızg鰖 K鰌r黶�') and Bayezid Bridge ('Bayezid K鰌r黶�') are the link of Sultan Bayezid II K黮liyesi (mosque complex) with the city. The Bayezid Bridge is named after Bayezid II. The bridges are separated from one another by a small low sandy island in the middle of the river along which a stone causeway is routed. The Bayezid Bridge is the more substantial of the two." A good photo of the man herding his sheep and goats but the bridge is also interesting, if unusual.

Interesantan pogled i trenutak, dobar teklst ...
Lepo stado ovaca i koza na mostu, dobro pokazano sa lepim bojama, kontrastom, perspektivom i uhvacenim trenutkom.
Dobar rad sa lepim fotografijama u radionici.
Dobar tekst o koriscenoj tehnici i elementima snimka.
U Srbiji je sve manja ovaca.

Yellow taxi in good contrast to its surrounding, yet, the main attraction here are the sheep.

Hello Murat, a good observation of this colourful scene as the man and his animals make their way across the bridge.
The presence of the yellow taxi creates a little story.
The green vegetation makes a nice frame.

Quite charming view of these sheep and goats guided by the shepherd over the bridge. The taksi is well placed and bright yellow colour gives good attention to it.

Hello Murat,
A good photo of this old bridge where the bright yellow taxi tried to pass the herd of sheep. The colours are well saturated and the green trees create a nice frame around the scene in the middle.

Hi Murat,I must admit that it is the first time I hear and see this model of FIAT, the house is Italian but obviously this model was too bad to be marketed in my country .. hehehe ... Excellent capture on the bridge, perfect timing for picking sheep and taxi together with a super quality, nice also the walk between the two bridges of your child in the other WS. the scenes with animals on the road have alsays something charming in them. The goats are so cute and the yellow taxi adds some color to the scene. Interesting that the goat at the edge of the heard has a different color.

Hello Murat,

Although I like how well you show details of the countryside in your w/s, I really like this photograph. It is so natural, so much a part of history as the buildings! This is how animals have been moved around the countryside for centuries, and they have more right of way than the taxi!
It reminds me of my village, the farmers move flocks of sheep along the lanes and traffic comes to a halt!

I like this unique and colorful scene. It's a combination of older traditions, and something more modern. :-) The bridge itself has charm, too, and I like that one woman walking away. All the details seem not to go together, but they all combine to create a nice scene. Take care!
