Early Spring, a photo from Alberta, Prairies

Photographer's Note

The weather was mild for early spring in Calgary, yet the evidence of winter remained with no leaves on the shrubs and the dry mounds of summer grasses still covering the rocks around this little pond in the NE part of the city.

I have been away from TE for a time, but will now be posting a few more shots from our April visit to Calgary, then will focus on shots taken in Alaska while on a cruise to that marvelous part of the world.

Hi Gerald,
The blue sky and its reflection provide an important contrast to winter's monochromatic foliage. I'm looking forward to you your Alaska pix, I loved our trip to that state. Larry will be undergoing an extensive work-up to determine the effect of his course of treatment; but he looks real good to me...of course he ALWAYS looks good to me.

Hi, Gereald. The grasses still seem to be bearing the weight of the snow and it looks as if they will need some more time to gain strength and stand up. Your picture reflects the spring atmosphere quite well.
