Photographer's Note

Cudillero is one of the most beautiful places we visit in Asturias, Spain. It's a fishing village that you saw in one of my previous shots HERE, this time I'm taking a view of the small harbor with the lighthouse on top of the hill. We had a wonderful sunny day and also a great time

La vista es, desde luego, preciosa. Debe ser un sitio bonito y es una pena porque hasta ahora no he tenido el placer de visitar.

Me gustan mucho esas barcas con el faro en el fondo, muy marinero.

A very interesting and beautiful picture!
I specially like the composition where the beauty of the lighthouse (the main subject of your picture) was truly enhanced by all the other elements, such as those boats in the foreground! I like the level of sharpness, the soft brightness (although it seems the sunlight was strong at that moment) and the soft colors!

I don't know what is wrong with TE now but when clicking your link all I got was a blank screen and then an apology from Dell! Anyway I like this one and the way the moored boats are arranged diagonally. The colours are lovely; it looks like a very pleasant place to stay.

Has ido a dar con uno de los puertos m醩 bonitos del cant醔rico, una l醩tima que no hayas podido evitar el dique lleno de banderas de la derecha, el paisaje hubiera sido mucho m醩 interesante.

Hola, amigo Emile,
Cudillero es un pueblo muy hermoso, sin duda, recuerdo tu otra foto. Esta nueva toma nos da el punto de vista opuesto, mirando hacia el mar y con el faro que domina el paisaje.
Esta costa es espectacular, abrupta y fuerte, y nos ofrece excelentes vistas.
Me gusta el ambiente que dan estas barcas en el primer plano, y el colorido de las banderas a la derecha.
Es una composici髇 muy bonita, muy rica gr醘icamente y bien realizada.

This picture has a very good composition. I like the diagonal line of the small boats, the embranchments of the rocks into the water, the small inlets of the sea and the lighthouse on top of the picture. Very natural and beautiful colours.

Un rinc髇 much韘imo bonito! Y muy bien presentado! La compo es muy exquisita, me gusta mucho como aprovechaste la costa rocosa, y la linea de barcitos coloridos, que curiosamente apunta hacia a la linea de banderas tambi閚 coloridas. Por otro lado, la forma ondulada de la ensenada conduce la mirada hasta el faro, que queda muy bien posicionado, aunque que est� en el centro, lo que aqu� resulta muy bien.

Hola Emile, wonderful picture from this fishing village. The boats so nicely set together in line make a fantastic diagonal and the scenery of rocks coming from both sides makes a splendid background with the lighthouse dominating on its throne. Nice detail from the colorful flags too.

Otra vez has utilizado las barcas para crear una composicion excelente con gran interes desde el primer plano hasta el fondo! Muy bello lugar, perfecto manejo de la luz, y muy bellos colores! Felicidades!

belle photo de ce petit port qui bien prot鑗� par ces zig zags des rochers ne laisse par contre que passer les petits bateaux.
Ce phare au loin donne une bonne profondeur de champ.

I do like the way you framed this beautiful harbor with the boats and calm water in the FG, with the lighthouse and rougher water in the BG. Glad you got your link working, it's great to see the alternate view. What is that little patio area durrounded by flags?

Your picture is a lesson on how increasing the effect of depth in a picture - excellent overall sharpness, presence of an evident element in the foreground, several layers of elements, making beautiful diagonals at the same time. The composition is very elegant, because all these elements are not aggressive to our eyes, they play their role in a discreet and harmonious way.

This is a fine composition, showing the traditional fishing harbour well!
Seems lie the place is well sheltered, and the lighthouse was surely of help for the fishermen returning from the sea...

Sabes? Me agrada el punto de vista que has utilizado, en el cual descartas de fondo el inmenso Mediterraneo, y dejas en el primer plano este entrante, lo cual destaca en una magnifica composici髇.

Las formaciones rocosas al fondo, presentan algun exceso de fuerte iluminaci髇, pero ha sido bien controlada de tu parte. Sin duda de que es un sitio muy bonito.

Dicen de este pueblo, que es uno de los m醩 bonitos de Asturias, aunque Asturias tiene otros pueblos costeros y de monta馻, tambi閚 muy bellos.
Estupenda composici髇 con las barquitas y el faro al fondo en un bonito d韆 de verano que a veces es dif韈il encontrar en esta zona del norte de Espa馻, tuviste mucha suerte porque el verano fue francamente malo.
