Photographer's Note
Another one of the Guellala Museum.
Although it may not be evident, this was the photo in which I spent more time in PP. Not that the original was too bad, but three of the corrections I decided to make were very time consuming: giving some detail of that sun lighted roof on the left, making the sky blue and eliminating a light post on the top right corner. For the first two I had to select the regions which histogram I wanted to modify, which wasn't easy, as the automated selection tool of Gimp required me douzens of incremental steps. The trouble with erasing the post was making the cloned area look much like its surroundings - I had to do a lot of paintings with a couple of brushes and the gaussian blur filter twice. I hope I have learnt a lot in this process! This hobbie of digital photo is a hard one, indeed, at least when you go into serious PP. :-)
I posted a WS with the original, exactly as it came out of the camera so you can see more clearly what resulted of the PP.

The rest of this note is shared with my other posts of the place (I, III, IV and V).
The museum is fairly big, featuring a large collection of traditional artifacts used in the near past in daily life, economic activities, ceremonies, and festivities, most of them staged with dummies and music. Although a bit naive (or because of that), it's a charming place to visit, specially if you have children. It's located in a low hill on the top of the village of Guellala, facing the small Gulf of Bou Grara, the shalow piece of sea that separates the island from the continent. From its entrance one enjoys a very nice view of the village, the gulf and the mainland.
Guellala is famous all over Tunisia for its pottery and it looks like this was one of the main reasons to have the museum built here.
You can find aditional notes on Jerba on the first of my posts of the museum.
I have a 'travelogue' of this trip of mine to Tunisia (not a real travelogue, I have set it up just to group the posts).

Ola Jose,
the same beautiful simplicity as the other, but here arranged with red flowers instead of brown urns. A good POV using the parts of the building to produce perspective and depth. Only being able to tell something about the result after your corrections: Well done, the structure is good visible, the sky doesn't look like painted and no negative light effect can be detected.
And: I like it because of the simplicity like the other. One extra point

I like what you did with this image; I think it is much improved and doesn't look artificial. The white and blue are a good contrast, and I love the positioning of the pink flowers.

Saludos amigo,
Saludos
José

Good evening Jose -
I looked at the original and you did an excellent job getting rid of the color cast and returning the white walls to white. Also, excellent job with the street light. What I like about this composition is the stark white walls, the splashes of color, and the geometric shapes. These three compositional elements all work together to form a pleasing image. Well done!!
Thanks for sharing

Sunny days, blue skies and white houses, a perfect combination and characteristic of warmer countries. Lovely perspective to capture the simplicity of the architecture. Good lines, light and saturation of colours to deliver this image. Nice pix Jose.
