Photographer's Note
This is the outside of a tourist shop specialising in ceramics, as every tourist shop in Gellala. I have doubts about the 'authenticity' of these jars, but I guess they are really handicrafted in Guellala and I suspect that most of the ceramic industry of the place is much tourist oriented.
Guellala is famous in Tunisia for its pottery.
You can find aditional notes on Jerba on the first of my posts the Guellala museum.

Marvelous composition showing the colorful turistic souvenirs of Gellala, Jose. I hope you also bought something for you and didn't just satisfy with this outstanding picture. The diagonal postioning of the ceramic and the hats on top of it gives a quite vivid impression.
Good job!

Hola Jose
Besos
Paula.

Hello Jose! Very nice eye here in finding a dramatic composition in the tourist shop. It's somewhat like a "patterns" shot but the hats break it up and add additional interest. The sharpness and colors are very good.
My friend, this reminds me an experience I had in a pottery shop in Greece once where I brought in a tripod and ended up knocking over and breaking many, many pots. It was very embarrasing and expensive as I had to pay for all the pots. And I didn't even get a nice photo like this!
Regards,
Doug

Hola Josep
saludos
Sergio

Hi Jose. I really like your sense of pattern, and this image shows it off quite nicely! The hat is an added bonus! Well done.

Hello José,
I had been looking forward to writing about this photo. The composition and exposure are excellent. The colors are vivid, and what is very subtle is the strong diagonal element in the photo. Another subtle touch, the taste of the proprietor of the shop presumably, is the hat on the pottery (one might have been enough). Lately I have been putting frames around my photos, in an attempt to present them to the salient best. Well this image does not need a frame/mat. It would detract.
On another point, the collaborative slide w/George (polonaise) that I had posted, "Haunted," has been "axed" as having been posted before. I thought reposting was possible. It is a shame, because, even without points, it would have been a veritable gem in the general TE collection, especially after George's post-processing.
Have a good weekend,
Bulent

I have missed this lovely photo of yours. I really like the presentation here, with the random hats and miscellaneous stuff in the background of the pots. Nice bright colours make for a very attractive photo. The way the pots are on an angle is also very effective. Nice work!
