Photographer's Note
Shot at the beach of Dar Jerba Hotel Complex, in the island of DJerba.
Djerba is a charming little island on Southern Tunisia, maybe a little damaged (it could be worse...) by the quantity of huge package holidays hotels like the one where this photo was shot.
The beach is awesome, with warm and clear water, a real paradise at half the price of the Caribean.

Dear Jose,
A nice shot of this waiting beach.
You should have try a different ratio ... Commonly 1/3 2/3 works better for this kind of shot.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Jose,
what have you done with the guests? It is high season, early evening. Nobody there? Everybody to the carribean? Why?
Therefore you see, it is a bit strange.
Or is the reason the weather as it seems to be somehow grey?
The ratio Olivier mentioned is a thing I learned also - but I must learn not to forget.

This is incredible, Jose! I find it hard to photgraph anything at this time of the day. You've done a great job. I like the colours of the umbrellas against the sky. Looks like a great place.

I'm taking your intro by the word ... and I agree with you very much. We learn most by our mistakes or imperfections than by doing it perfect and everyone giving a standing ovation, Although the latter is always good! Who doesn't like it?
OK, now to the picture. It certainly is a beautiful place. All the umbrellas and the layers show that it has to be so, otherwise it would be empty. And this is exactly the problem. It looks empty. It would have been really nice to have tourists all over the place. Showing the joy of this place. The way your picture is it is difficult to find a story behind it.
Hope this helps you in some way.
Best Regards, Peter

Cumprimentos,
F.
