Pretty Girl With Flowers, a photo from Dhaka, North

Photographer's Note

This pretty girl was with some friends buying flowers from a street vendor. She was shy and took a little pursuading before she would let me take her photograph. After a couple of shots of the group she felt comfortable enough for me to take a a picture of just her.

This picture was taken in Shankharia Bazar. It is often called "Hindu Street" because of the religion of those who live and work here. It's a good place to buy saris, bangles, drums, wedding-hats and gravestones (I hope you don't need the latter!)

The sharpness and the light are excellent here. It give us a proximity with this young girl.

Dear Jonathan, Thnx for seeing the brighter side of my country. Tht i like best in ur POV. Other than that, the composition is ok, good lighting and focus (ofcourse its a Nikon). Gals in my country are a bit shy, specially to foreigners. Stay fine

You could do portraits as a profession. You managed very well in getting in touch with her. I like very much her 'royal' pose as Gebala said. Excelent quality, as usual. Very good work!
