Photographer's Note
As the afternoon moves towards evening I await the departure of the Rocket. I am heading from Sadarghat, the main ferry terminal in Dhaka to Khulna, the gateway to the Sundarbans. The dock is filled with people boarding boats and also all manner of vendors, traders and touts.
The Rocket is the generic name given to several similar ships travelling along this route. They are famous as being restored paddle steamers that slowly chug through the peaceful waterways. It's a relaxing way to travel but you need to have time. Our journey took about 28 hours.

Jonathan bonsoir !
J'aime ce coup de spot sur la bouée qui s'en trouve ainsi embellie et en vedette. L'ambiance de la photo est celle d'un port surpeuplé comme beaucoup dans ce pays j'imagine.

Hi Jonathan, An interesting view from the ship to see the crowd on the dock. Good framing to depict the mood of waiting for departure from the crowded place. We can almost feel the ship rocking from this picture. Nice capture of the highlight by the sunlight. A well taken picture.

Hi Jonathan,
Nice and original POV. The colors and light are very nice too. I couldn't imagine these journeys could take too long. I hope at least the view was great.
Take care

Hi Jonathan,
I like the original framing for this one, with the fence, floater and floor dominating the foreground as a clean image in contrast with the crowd downthere. A very smart one. Congratulations!
Ricardo
p.s.-what happened with the previous image?

Nice framing.
This is the way my grandfather used to travel some 80 years ago...the only way to go from Dhaka to Khulna in those days. Thanks for bringing this to us. It inspires me to try this route out for myself...on my grandfather's footsteps!! :0)
