Pink Glow, a photo from Khulna, South

Photographer's Note

As the sun sinks lower towards the horizon, the golden glow turns to a pink glow.

In this land of so many rivers there is always traffic on the water. Large boats like the one I was on ply between major cities while there is a constant flow of local boats crossing from one side to the other.

Hi Jonathan,
A wonderful panoramic picture, also in large version, which is allways a pleasure to see.
The round yellow sun is very attractive in there, as a full moon and well balanced with the boats scene at left. Beautiful soft colours and good composition of the sillouettes. I guess that the full boat is going in one direction and the others are returning to get more people.

Hi Jonathan - wow, a panoramic from a flat country, the subcontinent's perpetual haze has created a very romantic sunset, and the silhouetted boats balance the sun.

A nice clear sunset, the pink glow is quite beautiful. I like the balance in the shot, with the boats in one side and the sun in the other.

I must say I am getting jealous now, as your series of pictures are much better than my attempt in Bangladesh. I like the capture here. I suspect the disc came out nice and sharp because of the pollution in the air? The colour is marvellous and the glow on the water is nice, and silky. Great composition too. A classic shot.

Another beautiful riverscape of Bangladesh from you. Calm and tranquil with terrific colors. Reminds me of Jibanananda Das - one of the most talented poets of Bengal. If you ever get the scope to read some of his poems, specially those in the "Ruposhi Bangla", I think you will be amazed.
