Photographer's Note
Most places I went in Bangladesh I attracted a crowd - especially when I pulled out my camera. Waiting to board the boat to the Sunderbans National Park I took a walk along the river bank. The children followed me so I would take their picture and my father described me as the Pied Piper of Hamlyn.
I found where they lived and the kids encouraged the adults to have their photos taken as well. I like this picture for the intense gaze on the woman's face. It may appear that she is looking at me diasapprovingly but she is a willing subject. Well, a willing victim of the childrens' insistence at least.

Bonjour Jonathan,
Magnifique portrait de cette femme au regard puissant, elle ne semble pas heureuse d'être photographiée et pourtant curieuse. Très belles couleurs.
Belle réussite.

Hi Jonathan, From the expression from both of the mother and the child, we can realize that you look so different in that country. They were more curious about you than you curious about them. A nice and sharp image to the portrait of both figures. Nice shallow DoF and a well taken picture.

Heureusement que la mère désapprouvait la photo elle en paraît que plus expressive. C'est un portrait qui me fascine. La composition en triangle est celle des madones à l'enfant des peintres de la Renaissance.
Bien fait !

A very nice, affecting photo, with an almost 'velvet' finish on the skin of the subjects. Well lit and coloured without looking unnatural in any way. Effective shallowness of field. Great shot.

Hi Jonathan - sounds like my experience in Yemen, though there taking pictures of women is a no-no. Portraits normally don't appeal to me, but this one does, the burmese looking eyes of the child are inetresting.

Nice shot Jonathan
The colour of the garments really stand out here and the skin tones are nicely balanced. The eye contact is good and you have delivered good detail in the shot as well.

Hi Jonathan,
Fascinating composition. The intense stare of the woman (she is probably looking at a camera for the first time) is quite something. Excellent sharpness.

Hi Jonathan,
Spectacular portrait of mother and child (I suppose), thge expressions you captured are trully amazing and the colours of their clothes brings a very good mood to the photo. Unfortunately the lady's expression is not of joy, not even close to it.
Rgds.
