Photographer's Note
Preah Vihear Temple is an ancient Khmer temple built during the period of the Khmer Empire, that is situated atop a 525-metre cliff in the D鈔gr阫 Mountains, in the Preah Vihear province, Cambodia. In 1962, following a lengthy dispute between Cambodia and Thailand over ownership, the International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that the temple is in Cambodia.
It was quite a battle to reach it by bicycle due to the 24% climb we had to conquer. In the WS, the hill and the photographer on the top.

Hallo Gerrit,
Vele groeten, Paul

Hello Gaerrit,
This temple has rarely been seen before on TE. You made a complicated journey to reach it on the border, but it was worth the trouble. This is a good photo with fine depth along the ancient street, with a great view of the temple at the end. The very few visitors create a stunning contrast to the Angkor area.
Best regards,
Gert

Hallo Gerrit,
Het brede pad leidt mooi naar de tempel. De voorgrond heeft een mooi patroon van schaduwen en de warme tinten zijn ook heel aangenaam.

Hi Gerrit
It looks much less visited (for a couple of good reasons) than the temples around Angkor Wat. A good trio from the temple.
cheers

Hello Gerrit,
It is an amazing place to visit but, after seeing your w/s, I might have been tempted to leave the bicycle at the bottom and walk up to the temple!
I do like how you have been able to give us a sense of width and depth, to this approach to the temple. We can also realise the size of the individual stones, given further interest by the dappled light.
The pathway takes us straight to the temple doorway, where individuals, along the way give a sense of perspective.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Goedemiddag Gerrit,
John

Hi Gerrit,
nice reportage from the hike to the top of the temple. Less known than the one which you showed before but as a bonus we get to see the happy photographer in the workshop.
Nice perspective on the complex here with natural framing and the paved path leading to the temple.

Dag Gerrit
Mooi pov op de lange laan naar de tempel. Heerlijk om dit relatief verlaten te zien. We zijn hier destijds niet geraakt omdat het gebied toen even niet zo veilig was. Fijne foto, bedankt om te tonen & geniet van je week.

Hello Gerrit, there is a lovely soft light that has cast some gentle shadows across the road that leads our eyes to the temple.
It is a lovely view that invites us to go further.
I like the extra shots too.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Gerrit,
The main photo has a fantastic light and shadows cast with good sense of depth. Ancient road pebble stones leading the viewer towards the temple.
Good evening,
Ike

Hi Gerrit
The dispute was still ongoing when I was there in the 1990's and early 2000's. Good sharpness and perspective and its obviously Khmer in style rather than Thai. Tfs!

Hi Gerrit.
Splendid perspective with the paved path surrounded by trees and the magnificent temple in the background, here it looks flat but the photos of the WS give us an idea of the height where the temple is.
Nice color, good brightness and sharpness.
Very well done. I like it.
Have a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
