Photographer's Note
BAYON - "The most striking expression of the baroque style" of Khmer architecture, as contrasted with the classical style of Angkor Wat.
The best time to visit this temple is early in the morning, straight after sunrise - to get a clear light on the beautiful gigantic stone faces (there is 216 of them).
The Bayon is a well-known and richly decorated Khmer temple at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th century or early 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom.

Hello Zuzana,
The is an extraordinary photo of two of the faces in Bayon, captured virtually in dialogue with each other. The composition and light are first rate, as are the resulting colors and resolution. By choosing a vertical format, and providing a simple but elegant frame, you have created a surpassing image.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Ahoj Zuzana,
This is a very high quality work! Statues are perfectly depicted with the beautiful morning sunlight and with extreme sharpness and superb definition.
I'm surprised it doesn't have more comment in spite of such a wonderful work.
Best wishes, Hisashi
