Pub Street, a photo from Siem Reab, West

Photographer's Note

Is Angkor Wat the main reason for visiting Siem Reab, for a lot of young backpackers the nightlife of Sien Reab, concentrated around the (in)famous Pub Street is even more important during their stay here,
On the photo the atmosphere is still calm but in the workshop you see the party scene in its full glory.

Hello Gerrit,
Both photos are well taken, with perfectly managed night-time light and good sharpness. But this was not my favourite part of Cambodia, even though I remember it as slightly less crowded in 2007. Or maybe I wasn't there late enough.

Hello Gerrit,

Had I just seen your photograph, without notes, I would not have guessed where it was taken. It could be a busy night in many locations.
You have taken an excellent shot, capturing the fun, social atmosphere, with sharp details in virtually no natural light.
I don't think I would have enjoyed the atmosphere, later on, with so many people squashed together.

It is no surprise that evenings out happen on the street on warm climate. This main shot is fairly calm and I would enjoy the atmosphere. Pub Street sign is a well placed detail.
