Modern Monk, a photo from Siem Reab, West

Photographer's Note

I spotted this colourful character at the temples of Angkor Wat during a waiting session for the sunset. The pose he took leaning against the wall, I think, is something you would see a businessman do in the Western world. The colour of his robe is striking and a nice contrast with the ancient stones. The picture is not sharp enough yet, but I'm still playing with the software. I cropped a little on the left. What do you think?

Hi Thijs, this is so good. The contrast of technology and ancient representation is well captured. Nice view. The composition is great but as you said, this picture would gain a lot if the image was sharper. I tried to play with it to enhance the focus and sharpening but haven`t produced any thing really good. I think it is a bit to far to be correctible. I hope that you will succeed though. :o)

Not quite sharp, but worth a posting for the novelty of it. Yes, they do seem to be into everything there.

Nice composition. Despite some blurring (maybe due to a shallow DOF or Camera movement) this picture is a very important document, worth a place anywhere, be it an artistic display ... or even a Mobile Phone Company

you sure captured a great and unuseual moment...
i like the relaxed pose of this fellow... maybe he's ordering a pizza :)... i tried the oimprove the sharpness in a workshop, maybe it's a bit better with more sharpness...

Although the photo is blurred, the composition is great. The title also adds value to the photo. It is nice moment, well done..
