Photographer's Note

IC [I see], so this is Tomb Raider location scene for next series? I was fascinated by this girl's body tatoo and the way she dressed herself with handily, light. I am not sure if she had knife or weapon under her belt but she definitely makes a perfect woman for me to frame her getting fully posed in the afternoon sunlight at the temple ruins of Angkor Thom [Khmer name meaning big city], our 2nd stop of the sites. I spoke with her a few times. She came from Spain with her German boyfriend. I met her 3 times over the next 2 days in different temple sites.

Like me, she is good in reaching to top of the steps to get a great view of the temples. Angkor Wat is the most popular for photographers in terms of grand design and layout of the temples but it is under repair and we could not reach to the top. Angkor Thom is slightly different, it is lower temples, more ruins and just a stone throw from Baphuon and Bayon.

I must also state here that credit is due to Santo/skippy007 for his influence of noticing a tattooed body and shooting it, although I have not reached his stage of close up yet :))

Greetings from a cold, wet & windy South Korea! An unusual shot where the focus is on the tourist & not the tourist attraction. Good use of a shallow dof with excellent sharpness & dof. Tfs!

Haha yeah it does look like Angelina.. just a bit shorter. Maybe they can call this movie: Lara Craft Takes a Holiday and Gets Away from it all. May not sell as many tickets.

Interesting daily life shot of this woman sizing things up. She seems to be preparing to take a photo though there is no camera in evidence. You have managed the harsh lighting conditions well and good use of depth of field lifts her from the background.

Very interesting note, it's exactly what i do when seeing intriging people. Trying to make contact, some small talk, nice, because seeing your picture you were also triggerd by this woman which looks indeed interesting with all these tattoos and the way she stands like this.
Not difficult to imagine that het bottle of water is her laser gun ;-)
Angkor is a great place with the monuments and the popele who visit it...

Well she has a resemblance although a bit short, Brad will definitely find her attractive because of the tattoo. :-). and why not..thats what's good about shooting with your friend..one always looks to contribute..keep a lookout..strive for something better...there is an impluse and you feel the need to add your bit..makes it more meaningful and fun...more than anything else.

Good thought to use the ruins as the background, you have focused all the attention onto this girl with all the body art.

An original idea to shoot at other photographers...especially if some details are fascinating you like the tattoos. I also found the way she is standing at her ease and her gesture are nice to look at! The blurred architecture gave her more impact!

Hi, Bill. Amazing to take the picture of a photographer in such a setting. We'd rather expect to see the temple. But the result is nice with good contrasts between the light-coloured stones and woman's dark clothes. Good details of her tattoo and equipment.

Something different, something very original. The blurred BG makes it difficult to recognise the temple, but it's Angkor Thom as I read from your note. The focus on her & especially the tattoo is something I like and the shadow of the water bottle on her shapely legs creating a serpentine curve!? Light is strong & good which makes this image very punchy. Well done!
