Photographer's Note
Stung Treng City is the capital of Stung Treng Province. It is the major city (and capital) of both the district and province. Stung Treng is located on the Sesan River on the confluence with the Mekong River.
The river port of the city park is fairly busy, handling trade between Cambodia and Laos and transporting people.

Hi Gerrit
A picturesque & busy river scene as the passing boat drags your eyes through the entire picture with good detail under subtle lighting condition. The figs on the sandbar offers another interest and this does look so peaceful at low water. Lovely composition, contrast and content well captured at a time of day.
Best regards

Hello Gerrit,
This photo is a bit surprising. I see a lot of water and a boat speeding across the view in the foreground. Then I notice people and a bicycle on a low and probably narrow sandbar. One person even looks like he is walking on the water. It's a fascinating view and it's also a photo with pleasant colours and light.
Best regards,
Gert

Goedemiddag Gerrit,
Goed foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten uit Vlaanderen,
John

Hello Gerrit, my guess is that there must be some kind of causeway for the people to walk upon; there is a strange effect with the people appearing to walk on water.
Looking at this in the large version, it helps me to realise just how wide the Mekong really is.
Almost monotone, a very interesting scene.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hallo Gerrit,
Sesan?
Vele groeten, Paul

Hi Gerrit
What interests me most is what looks almost like a sand spit or maybe half submerged walkway or breakwater with that motor bike and people walking. A good interesting photo.
cheers
Ian
